Just traded my Infiniti in on a '13 Mercedes-Ben C300 Sport 4matic w/ AMG sport sedan pkg. It's white clearcoat snd was built 5 months ago in Germany. Sat on a lot here about 90 days.

I'm planning on iron-x, clay and then should I do DG 501 for the cleaning abilities before using either Collinite 845 or DG105?

Or will the ironx and clay take care of any resistant dirt in that time frame? If I don't do the 501 now I'll do it in October most likely.

Good idea or overkill right yet? Feed back please

I don't see why a quick once over with DG501 would hurt. Especially on a white car.

I used it on a brand new car with great results, I don't see any harm in it.

benz is really hard clear coat....501 or meg 205 will work very well.....I do pretty much new cars only - I'd do:
clay - yes clay
blackfire total polish and seal
blackfire wet diamond
blackfire crystal seal

you will be amazed at the look...

What color pads with this?

DG 105 will provide all the cleaning you will need after the decon stage. But, I would go with DG 501 topped with DG 111, wipe the next day with DG Aquawax.

blackfire total polish and seal -white or black
blackfire wet diamond - blue - wait 12 hours before next step...
blackfire crystal seal- none- wipes on by hand

+1 on DG501 but mix it with DG601 bonding agent then you can wax right away. I've never tried DG111 basically a sealant but I can recommend Col845 hybred sealant/wax.

Absolutely use 501! Mix it with 601 then you can immediately top it with what you want. I would suggest 105/601 followed by Colli 845. Killer trio, just killer.

I agree with using Duragloss on this paint. I believe what you described is similar if not exactly the same as my ML350's "Diamond White" tri-coat. As you know that paint is an expensive option but well worth it. There is no white paint in the world more beautiful in the sun or under street lights. I have experimented and used several different products all with good results, but I believe this routine will get the most out of the Mercedes whites:

Wash with a quality shampoo and follow with a mild clay (I use Griots).
Prep the paint with P21s Paintwork Cleanser (I want to try Squeaky Clean).
Use Duragloss 105/601 combo.
Use Duragloss 111/601 combo (not necessary but I like 111 - a lot!).
LSP can be either OCW or Collinite 845 if you want to use a wax as well.
Top with AquaWax every so often after a wash and use FCS as your QD.

You will notice I did not use 501. Not because it would do harm but because my car is new (a year old) and in very good condition and simply did not need 501, especially after the P21s. Keeping most everything in the Duragloss family is not only cost effective, compatible and easy but you will be hard pressed to find anything at any price that protects better and at the same time making our Mercedes whites look as great as they can.

Richy nailed it...absolute killer. That combo is all I put on my own car at this point. Not even 3 months of winter touchless washing at my local car wash can penetrate that combo. I can't say that about any other products I've used.

Thank you all for these great pieces of advice. I believe I have a good portion of the idea gloss collection and 845 for sure. I just picked up the carpro hydro02 and tried it, really looks nice as well. When it wears off ill go all dg the next time.
