Why can't you use this on paint?
A whole new perspective on cleaning automotive glass.

Diamondite Glasswork Clay is an elastic clay resin that cleans out the microscopic grooves of glass to leave it incredibly slick and thoroughly clean. Glasswork clay cleans by gliding over the glass on a bed of lubricant and grabbing contaminants that are bonded to the glass. Clayed glass will be incredibly smooth, clear, and clean.

Glass is not a perfectly smooth material. It is made up of microscopic grooves that can become filled with dirt, debris, and oils from the world surrounding your vehicle. Glass cleaners can remove what is on top of the glass but the only way to remove what in the glass is Diamondite Glasswork Cleansing Clay.

How do you know if the glass needs to be clayed?

Put a plastic sandwich bag over your hand and lightly rub your fingertips over the glass. If you feel a rough, gritty texture, the glass is covered in environmental contamination.

Diamondite Glasswork Cleansing Clay removes bugs, overspray, tar, oil, tree sap mist, rail dust, and environmental pollutants. It even removes mineral deposits that haven’t yet etched the glass. There is no gentler, more thorough way to clean glass.

Detailing clay is an elastic compound capable of grabbing debris lodged in a porous surface and trapping it to completely remove it from the surface. All clay requires a lubricant to work safely.

Diamondite Glasswork Cleansing Clay works hand in hand with Diamondite Glasswork Clay Lubricant to protect automotive glass as it is cleansed of stubborn impurities. The slippery lubricant allows the clay to glide over the glass, picking up contamination as it goes. After claying, glass will appear clearer and feel incredibly slick to the touch.

You may not even be aware that your car’s glass could be clearer, but Diamondite Glasswork Cleansing Clay will give you a whole new perspective on clean glass. Try it as part of the Diamondite Glasswork Kit to experience a total makeover of your vehicle’s glass.

Directions:
  1. Mist the glass generously with Diamondite Glasswork Clay Lubricant. If doing a windshield, work in quarter sections. You may wish to cut the clay bar in half and reserve the other half in case you drop the clay you’re working with.
  2. Spread the clay flat over your fingers to give yourself an adequate work surface. Glide the clay back and forth over the wet glass. You will feel the clay grab. This indicates that it has encountered contamination on the glass.
  3. Continue to rub the clay bar back and forth until it glides freely. Use a microfiber towel to wipe the glass dry.
  4. If any clay residue remains on the glass, mist it with Diamondite Glasswork Clay Lubricant and wipe the glass clean.
  5. Continue claying until you’ve cleaned all the glass.
If you performed the bag test again, you’d feel that the glass is slick and smooth with no bumps or grit.

I've been using my DP clay for windows followed by some AIO, works for me. I don't know why you wouldn't be able to use that for the body, I thought clay was clay (relatively speaking  )

I was wondering about that clay! I'd try it on my paint if I had a bar :)

Ok, AGers, someone must know the difference here. Mods??
Why is this for glass? How is it different? We wanna know...

I wonder if it's "YELLOW" clay :p
Maybe it's the same stuff as Pinnacle yellow clay? That's what I want to know. I will be buying the heck out of it!;)

Diamondite Glass Products

I am VERY interested in learning a LOT MORE about this. I work at a Used Car lot for a large dealership, and may be moving to another soon, and need to know this sort of information. Would appreciate any 'leads for info' you may be able to help me with.
(BTW---NICE Ford GT there!!)

Clay is quite soft and could be damaged with anything to rough, my guess is this clay is much less abrasive than normal clay. I know the original spray clay for glass felt like toothpaste.

The Diamondite Glasswork Cleansing Clay can be used the same as Diamondite Spray Clay to remove embedded contaminants in glass that washing leaves behind. In addition to being effective on glass, this clay can also be used on clear coat finishes with no negative effects, just great results Just make sure to keep the clay bar well lubricated.

Sparkie, let's ask Anna.

I have been thinking about trying some Diamondite Glass Products on my next order. I really love the car on the box. ;)

I know first hand that the Diamondite Shield is good stuff! Bug splatter seems easier to remove during a wash, and water spots are less prone to etch. Gives good sheeting properties during a rainstorm too! :righton:

Ever since I read this thread, I have been experimenting more and more with the Diamondite Glasswork Cleansing Clay and I think it's time to stock up on this one, it's awesome.

I asked Max for more information about it and here is what he said:

"Diamondite Glasswork Cleansing Clay is from the same blueprint as the original Pinnacle Poly Clay. We have found this clay to be the ideal composition for removing embedded contaminants from glass. In addition to performing very well on glass, this clay is also clear coat safe and effective at removing contaminants from automotive paint finishes too."

Same blueprint as the pinnacle poly clay huh. Hmmmmmm :D . That doesn't mean it's made from the same exact material though huh?
