Did a little paint repair on the wifes 4runner today.

I don't know. I guess if I give someone money for something I expect them to pay for that.

Kinda like how I give money to student through federal aid helping them for college and if they do not use that money for college and instead by a TV I would get upset.
well you also give insurance company money to fix your car when something happens..and plenty of times they decided not to pay out. So is that any better cause they screw over the little guy?

Im not so sure that carfax will pick up the insurance payout regarding your 4runner. I think carfax is just a gimmick and basically worthless.

Why would there be concern of how clear was removed? It looks as though some of the before pictures had paint transfer from the other car.

In CO you have a choice to do what you want with the money according to the law they can't force you to repair the car... I got a check from the kid that hit the side of my Land Rover for 3900.00 (small dent just cosmetic but because the door is aluminum they have to replace and repaint) I used it to put bumpers, sliders, and a winch on it plus pay for the insurance for a bit... The way it is worded here is you have a choice of what shop it gets fixed at if at all and you have a choice of if you want a check or if they pay the shop... as you are being made whole again...

Nice job on the buffer work...

Also carfax only can be reported to if the damages to the vehicle were over a certain amount and if I am not mistaken that amount is something like 975.00...
