Did I really just make this ROOKIE mistake!!!!

So I been researching, bought "The Complete Guide To Detailing" book on auto geek. I got $400 worth of new cleaning supplies everything pinnacle and I did the blackfire's wet ice over file. I start on the hood clay baring it with pinnacle's clay bar then I apply the wet ice over fire and was awe struck and got so excited kept on going. I started on the hood and now im on the truck and go to get a new microfiber and realized I haven't clayed since the hood!!!! UGH I just put two coats of this stuff on the whole side of the car and trunk. Now this is a new 2015 Chrysler 200C custom ordered and was never washed at the dealership. Sooo it wasn't sitting at a dealership for months. My question is will this paint sealant stay on the car till about Oct so it coold down here in AZ and I can strip everything polish it and redo everything. Didn't polish this time cause paint was near perfect.

I haven't heard of that happening before. Be glad it's your car and not a client's car.

Sorry, but that is pretty funny. I have some Wet Ice over Fire that's been sitting on a shelf. I'll remember this story when I'm working with these products!
 
No big deal. When it comes to coatings you want a completely bare surface.
 
You may have induced some micro scratches from applying and removing products and taking some of the bonded contaminants along for the ride. Probably nothing that wouldn't polish out pretty easily though.
 
Haha ya I just stood there and thought really? I must have clayed and waxed my own cars 5-10 times over the last 3 years so done it before and before getting the car waiting for it to be delivered I looked forward to this and day dreamed about doing this haha and I get so excited I just totally miss a verrrrrry important step. I bought pinnacle clay bar AND iron x did I use it NOPE lol ugh
 
Clay it all, hit it with a super light polish with no pad cut. Ipa wipe it then start the coating over.
