Did I shoot myself in the foot tonight?!?!?! Let go of an opportunity

PS All this time you're trying to make us believe you're just another detailing grunt...and there you are getting your Benz serviced at the dealer...:p

I wish. I was just doing a friend a favor :)

Besides. No one touches my drain plug but me :nomore:

Sounds like a tough decision.

Seems there is money to be made and not much skill required. If you could put enough staff on it that you dont need to be there, and continue on with you regular jobs while your staff is there once a week I could see it working.

But on that same note, if there isn't much skill required I could see the dealership hiring some low lifes to spray their cars off once a week for $1 a car.

On a side note. Didn't Plaxico Burress shoot himself in the foot?!?!?!?

yeah - the 1.25 guys I saw last year looked very coked out and didnt look like a legit tax paying business. This could be my selling point to get that 3.25 a car Flash talked about though -

Who?!?!?

Ok - just searched the world wide web and apparently 100 cars an hour with 2 people is doable - now that definitely makes it worth it I think. get started at 5 am - then by 9 am make a profit of around 600 to start the day..... hmmm sounds decent.

When put like that, it sounds like a no brainer.

After a couple weeks, I am sure you could get moving on them pretty quick once you get a good process down.

I have a very hard time believing 2 guys could rinse, dry and put tire shine on 100 cars in an hour. That's 1 car every 36 seconds...

I'll admit I didn't read the whole thread so I may be missing something since your first post.

I know people who do this. 2.50 a car would be great if you could get it, but up here in Buffalo most dealerships are only willing to pay between .40 and .50 cents per car.
