Did P21S TAW Stain My Plastic?

So I've been meaning to ask this for a couple months now, I've just never got to it since I have been finishing the school year.
I did a paint correction on my TSX and used P21S Total Auto Wash (TAW) to strip any protection before polishing. Instead of using the TAW in a spray bottle and pre-treating the paint, I used the TAW in my wash bucket. I do not remember the weather conditions, but it was definitely not hot and sunny in the Midwest a couple months ago.
I thoroughly rinsed the car as normal, brought my car into the garage, and did the paint correction process using M105, M205, and Menz PF2500. I noticed the stains you see in these when and applying Blackfire Wet Diamond.
I believe it was the P21S TAW that stained the plastic, but I went into detail about which products I used to get you guys' opinion on whether or not it could've been the other products.
I also wanted to ask how you guys would got to restore the color back because I now have a beautiful, shiny car with this stained plastic being the only thing that I see.

Any and all help is appreciated,
Thank you

I had similar situation on 2009 Accord. Might be same plastic that is on your TSX (don't know what year you have). I used BF Total Eclipse Tire Gel on them and they came out really nice. Used a 1 inch foam paintbrush to apply, let it sit for about 60 seconds, then buffed off remaining residue with a MF. I haven't asked my buddy how it's holding up, but it has been maybe 6 weeks. I'll check with him and reply back. Tire Gel obviously isn't a permanent solution. There are trim coatings that would probably last 6 months or so.

IMO you just need to buff that off with something really mild--Klasse AIO comes to mind. Just be gentle.

I have a 2010 TSX. Although I would prefer a permanent solution, if I did permanent damage then I'll be looking for a good dressing to apply regularly. I'm gonna be needing a new tire dressing soon so I might give that a try!

:iagree: I have used this same solution except it was Megs D151 buy hand and it cleaned up great and has stayed that way.

He got back to me and said it is still looking good. It's been raining quite a bit here, so it's seen some weather. I don't know how he washes the car...think he does the touchless by his house quite a bit, even though I've tried to talk to him about proper washing. So, that being said, sounds like he might get 90 days out of it even with weather, and likely harsh touchless detergents.

BF tire gel is good stuff though. I just washed my car today and put the BF on last weekend. Drove through one rain this week. Only needed a wipedown of the tires and they look like they have just been dressed.

This is not on painted plastic; can I still do that?

Well, the door pillars are that vinyl wrap stuff, that's why I said be gentle. If the mirror is shiny plastic you will be fine, if it's that weird sparkly looking stuff that's on some Acuras, then it may or may not work--try it in a small spot in a hard to see area. I have used C4 on that sparkly stuff and it came out pretty good, but that was just faded, not with APC streaks on it.

It's neither the shiny nor sparkly stuff. I know what you're talking about because there are two other Acuras in my garage. This is just matte black plastic.

Dang, that's impressive stuff. Definitely putting it in my next order.

I also like mild chemical cleaners like Klasse AIO or Zaino AIO for exactly those areas. They aren't abrasives, they're simply mild chemical cleaners or "polishes" as some might call them. I like trying them first to fully clean up the surface and then go from there if unsuccessful.

So what's the suggested method of applying the AIO to the plastic on my side mirrors? It's obviously too tight of an area for my PC
