Did pollen eat through Wolfgang Fuzion?

One year I had a 5 way LSP test on a hood including Collinite. Pollen was the paint for a few days and after that I had no beading on the entire hood.

wow, that is intense!

Now where have I seen something like these "spiked baseballs" before?

OH Yea...Now I remember!!

Ahhh ha, Ivan is out to correct and destroy the finishes, it's vicious cycle!

I still blame the toxic pollen for interfering with ihaveacamaro LSP experiment.

Pine Tree Pollen is brutal on any LSP I've ever used. It's really going to start flying here in a week or two. Yuck! When the wind blows you can see it in the air. Some years are worse than others. I hope this year is an "other",but you never know.

Pollen mixed with the morning dew is awful. It absolutely sticks to your car. As I said before, nothing I've found can stand up to this mess. It will kill the beading of anything really quickly.

I'm glad I read this thread. I applied wgdgps topped with fuzion on dec 1 after claying. Last weekend I noticed it failed on me after only three months. We've had a very bad pollen season. Maybe this explains it. I was sure hoping it wasn't the product.

Yeah,I think it's going to be bad here too. It's very windy plus all my neighbors decided to mow/chop leaves today. My twoo outside vehicles are bad dusty/polleny now.

Time for me to start this thread back up again. I just detailed both my cars within the past two weeks. Both of them sit outside all the time. First car I put KAIO followed with V7. It's rain since then and there's just about no beading. My other car I used, BFWD, 845, followed with Megs ultimate quick wax. One thing I noticed before it rained was the large amount of pollen on my car. I took some pics of the beading today... This car has the BFWD, 845, and Megs UQW.

I would think the water should bead A LOT better than that considering the products I used...

Do you park under trees? In my experience that will kill beading.

I don't think V7 is a good beader from what I've read, but I don't get it about the UQW. It's pretty stout. You should get better beading than that for sure.

So I've learned that pollen definitely eats through wax. Could be your issue OZD.

Where my car is park in the back yard, unfortunately it is somewhat under a tree.

Call it what you will, but I'm having a hard time accepting that pollen can 'eat' through an LSP.

Oh,I forgot to mention in the other post that KAIO is not very durable at all. It's an extremely nice product, but not the best in terms of durability.

Was the car parked under a tree? Or anywhere near one? That will surely degrade the lsp quickly.

Yeah, KAIO on its own isn't about durability, its about cleaning after claying and/or setting you up for KSG. KAIO is also ok if your just looking to "throw a little something" on a car to tie you over till your next detail, maybe before a trip and you don't have a lot of time and also works GREAT on windows (do not use KSG on windows though!!!)

Pollen is bad stuff. I don't know how much pollen you get in NorCal,but a car can turn yellow in literally minutes during the peak of pollen season. It can definitely diminish or kill an LSP based on my experience.
