Difficult to remove M105

I have attempted to use this stuff on 2 different occasions. Each time , I gave up after correcting the hood. This stuff sticks like dried cement. I use the same technique using SIP , 85 and 205 with no problems.

What is the trick to removing the dried product? water hose and rag?
 
Have you tried misting a detail spray on the panel and then try wiping it off? If that doesn't work try some IPA or even the new Car Pro Eraser.

M105 can be difficult to remove at times.
 
Most of today's products clean up nicely with a mild solution of soap and water. Do this with Meguiar's M105 and you should be fine...
 
Most times if 105 is acting like that it is from using too much product, overworking, working too large of an area or climate conditions. 105 does have a learning curve but once you get past that, it is a wonderful product.

Usually too much product is the cause of this. Moreso than all the other issues which are potentially the problem.

After you prime the pad, then wipe all the excess polish off with a towel. Try using a VERY small amount. like 2 tiny size pea dots at the outer edge of the pad. That Should eliminate the problem.
 
thanks for the help. I will try less product and then try the detail spray trick.

Turtle products are the same way. I wet a microfiber towel and get some of the residue it leaves and just re buff it with the dry micro fiber towel with detailing spray. :props:

:iagree: Heat, too much product or a "too damp"recently cleaned pad.

I use a QD like Megs Final Inspection or diluted ONR when push comes to shove.
 
When the M105 does wind up flashing onto and what looks like into the paint, there is no QD or solvent wipe that will remove it I have come to realize. I was working with some M105 is spot areas yesterday.

Its not a good idea to aggressively wipe hard with a towel over and over again. You will likely put toweling marring in the paint.

The VERY best, and EASIEST way to remove the dried/flashed up M105 off the paint is to apply some fresh M105 onto a foam applicator pad and rub it into the dried spot. This will remove the M015 with ZERO drama or hard rubbing.

Thank you for this. Was just about to post that I have some very small speckling left from what I think was compounding with MEg's. It looks more like white over spray from paint and i cant wipe it off for the life of me.

Can't wait to get home tonight and give this a shot.

This works for all dried wax! Anytime you see that you might have an "oops, missed a spot" even if its a few weeks later, take a little fresh wax and it will loosen it right up and wipe away very easily.
 
Wonder if Menzerna Powergloss is easier to work with?
