I polished a 2019 black 4 Runner using Meguires M205 and had very hard time wiping it off after using DA and orange foam pad. I resorted to using a wool pad on the DA lightly with a m105 to remove the residual m205. I've used m205 in the past and it always wiped off with little effort. M205 was about a year old. Any thoughts.

I think Meg's polishes work very well.

But they are always a b!tch to remove IMO.

Do what 2wookies suggested. That usually works on stubborn polish residue.

Sounds like you experienced sticky paint.

Is it really hot in your area? I've had good luck removing any residue with Griot's bug and smudge remover.

Could be pannels are too hot or you are leaving the product on too long after finishing polishing. Try sprinting some water or detailing spray and it should loosen up and wipe off easily. Good luck

A spritz of DI water after you've put the product on your pad initially. After one or two passes, another spritz of water.

I hate it when anything wipes off hard - leads to marring of the paint which is working backwards.

I think I usually grab some SONAX glass cleaner or any panel wipe. Basically something with a solvent in it to break-up the oils.
