Difficulty removing WG Finishing Glaze today

Hello. today I applied WG Whirl Remover and then a coat of WG Finishing Glaze to my truck. When it came time to remove the Finishing Glaze, I put a 6 inch brand new bonnet on my 7424XP and set the speed on 4. Right from the start, I noticed that I was having a hard time removing the Finishing Glaze. It seemed to be removing about 50% of the Glaze and spreading the remainder across the surface
I thought maybe it wasn't fully dry, so I waited a little while and tried again. The same results occurred but this time I increased the speed on the 7424 to 5. It looked as if the Finishing Glaze was spreading and not being removed.

The funny thing about this was, I put down the buffer, picked up a microfiber tower and the Finishing Glaze came off with no problem.

Perhaps 'glaze' is throwing you off a bit, it's not really a glaze. It's a super fine polish.

Is it possible that I applied the Finishing Glaze to thick?
Maybe that contributed to the buffer having trouble removing the glaze.
Also, does the microfiber bonnet have to be tight on the foam pad because it was not really tight

What is the best speed to use for the 7434xp when removing this type product?

You need a pad not bonnet to break down the abrasives, slow arm speed and 6-8 passes else all you doing is smearing polish around.

Why would you use a bonnet to remove a polish??

Shouldn't you be removing with a microfiber towel?

Wolfgang Finishing Glaze is a finishing polish. You use it just like another finishing polish. Use it the same way you used the Wolfgang swirl remover.

It is not a wax type product that you apply to the vehicle and then remove after 30 minutes.

Yep, because you didn't work it in enough till it turned clear thus removal was smearing. You really gotta work finishing polishes with plenty passes unless its Reflect.

No doubt, they should change it, they should have changed it a long time ago. It's totally misleading.
