has anyone noticed any cleaners that have short shelf lives when diluted?

303 Cloth and Fabric
- held up quite well at 3:1

ONR *Optimum No Rinse*
- at 15:1 doesnt seem to last more than 1 week. The blue color fades and the ative cleaning power diminishes greatly.

OPC
- week 6 on the last mix at 5:1 and still doing good.

Do you have any cleaners that work well when first mixed, but loose their power after a bit of time? post up

thanks

The diluted bottles of products that I use all last.
303 Cleaner
PB Bug Squash
Degreaser

Hey pixelmonkey. I just reread my post and it didn't even come close to answering the subject. Sorry. Some stuff I use once and don't save like ONR. However, come to think of it I just clayed the wife's car with some DP Rinseless that I diluted a long time ago. Seemed OK.

I just mixed a gallon of ONR to use as a clay lube and QD. I'm guessing I just waisted my time and $??

It will take awhile to go thru that much....

Even though the blueish color of diluted Optimum No Rinse fades over time this does not affect the performance of the product.

To be honest, I've never had any of my mixed solutions go bad...

I use distilled water when diluting any product that will not be used right away and I have had zero problems.

Me thinks that is the secret. Alaways use distilled water when diluting any products.
Ya don't know what is in the local water supply.

I use distilled for my ONR lube and it hasn't even lost it's colour

been using filtered water.
will try the next batch with distilled water.

attached is what was found in my water heater after 30 months.

Chris may want to chime in but ONR is supposed to soften water by binding with any minerals which is why adding it to your wash bucket is a good thing since we don't usually use 2 gallons of distilled to do a wash.

If you use regular water or anything but demineralized/distilled water for something like lube, then I feel you are losing some of the ONR effectiveness since it binds the minerals in the lube water, leaving less polymers to lube/encapsulate dirt when it is eventually used...

not sure it is even measurable, but it makes me feel better to use distilled when diluting any of my products and it doesn't break the bank...
