Disability

I have had many clients in the bank get disability and large backpay settlements. What I have learned is that you NEED an attorney, and its a very long process and lots of declines before its approved.

So dont lose faith .... its a long winding road, but hang in there and keep legal representation.

Been there..... Done that...... They denied me twice. After that, there in only one lawyer down here who is able to fight for disability. My Sister-In-Law ia a big lawyer down here and she is not able to touch this claim. Only this one law firm is.

I've lived in Houston all my life, and i remember Tropical storm Allison in the the summer of 2001, my wife and I lost both of our cars as a result of the flooding. Keep your head up Stephen, things will get better, and keep up the amazing details. :props:

Thanks Mate!!! I wish I was back there in West Houston.

i messed upmy back real bad from over 20 years of landscaping . if i didnt have emplyess i dont know what id do . im in pain everyday lower back. but i dont think i can collect disability and still run my busness.a friend of mine saidi should try but i dont know . i could never live on that .

From my experience...not sure how Texas works but if you are able to receive disability, you should get a backpay settlement along with your regular disability checks.

We had a client that got approved for disability and received a check of around 20K in backpay benefits.

Good luck and hang in there.

:iagree:I injured my knee and back over 2 years ago at work. After a year representing myself(getting nowhere)I finally hired a attorney. They tried to settle for a small amount. I declined, then they doubled the offer. I declined again, then they quadrupled the second offer. They really didn't want to cover my knee and back for the rest of my life. Be patient and take your time.

I'm finally having surgery next month. So, I will be sitting on my butt for 5 months getting paid. Looks like I need to brush up on my PS3 skills.

Sorry to hear about your disability, but how can you get disability and still detail cars?
:iagree:Hummm, I was thinking the same thing...no wonder the Medical Industry and Insurance is so high, If you can detail, then why are you pursuing this.......

Wow! Those pics are crazy! Hard to believe anyone could survive that mess of twisted metal!

Ditto man! That's incredible! Just can't imagine. & some people think THEY have it bad.
Best of luck.

Well, tomorrow, I have to meet up with my Rehab Doctor I didn't remember that one. LOL I will take the letter from the attorney for her to review it. I know she is going to tell me if they mess around, she is going to jump in on them. he he...

Gotta love having a good Doctor in ones side. I think I also have to get her Lexus RX 330 again. She wants me to help her pick out a new vehicle for her.

What is it with me and all of these Lexus'. We do not even have a Lexus Dealership down here. Closets Lexus Dealerships are either in San Antonio or Houston. No Infiniti, Porsche, Audi, Austin Martin, Maserati and the others like those. Just two BMW, one Mercedes Benz with a 2nd one being built right now and I know the GM of that new place. Hmmmmmmmm :dblthumb2:

BTW - Thanks for all of your thanks!

Nor could I live off of it. Sorry about your back problems. I'm sure you are not a happy camper.
