Gang,

I ordered the sampler pack in an effort to spread my wings as I started this whole sickness of detailing with Meguiar's Online. I did know that there were other products out there but mainly stuck with Meguiar's products.

I belong to a few automotive forums. In the detailing sections, I read that a lot of people use Do Do Juice, Wolfgang and a couple of others. Not wanting to spend a lot of money to try a wax and not like it, I decided to get the Do Do Juice sampler.

For you naysayers that think 1oz of product won't do much, then I got news for you, I have used the Banana Armour and the Diamond White so far and my next wax is the Hard Candy wax!

Below is a picture of the waxes, on the left are the Diamond White and Banana Armour, used on one car. On the right is the Blue Velvet and Hard Candy of which either of these two are used.

The Banana Armour was used for two THIN coats of wax on our Neon, the Diamond White was used as a 2nd coat following M66 on a recent detail.

These little tubs are hardly dented and have a couple of good waxings up to maybe 4 depending on size of the car.

Thin coats are all that are needed. For those of you who ask how hard it is to get wax on your applicator, easy, just push the tub against the applicator and spin it as if it were a tin and push the applictor into the tub. do it in a couple of places and spread the wax on your paint! It may get "harder" when getting to the bottom of the tub but, it's easy, applicators are pretty flexible!

So, the wax is easy to work with, fast drying time (swipe test :D), easy removal, great shine!

The Hard Candy is next to test and the Blue Velvet will be given to the boy for his '67 Dodge D100 soon as we knock down the oxidization.....

TTFN!

Aaron

I think the Dodo samplers are indeed the best way to sample their waxes. Easily three or more applications too. Hard Candy looks delicious and a pleaser in my book !

From all the pictures that I have seen of the Do Do samplers or the Fuzion mini, it is very hard to tell how big these containers are. Can someone take a picture of them next to a wax applicator or a quarter ;) so we can get a better idea of the size?

Thanks,

Thanks,

They are about the size of a half dollar piece, but much bigger then a quarter.
I will see about getting a photo for you.

Not the greatest pics but you may get the idea.....

I to just received my sample size of the Dodo Juice Blue velvet and Purple haze and I was wondering if one could apply the wax with one of those foam finger pockets from Wolfgang. Just a thought.
Wolfgang Finger Pockets - 3 Pack - WG-POCKETS

I hope to be able to get juiced this weekend

Well I should have read the description about the finger pockets before I posted the question. It seems that they have a light cutting ability and thus will not be appropriate for wax application. To bad.

Thanks guys. The half Dollar and the new pictures by Nappers help create a better idea on the size.

DODO is a very good Quality WAX but when I compare it to Fuzion I have to pick Fuzion over all of their waxes !

I think super natural looks better than Fusion on dark grey, but Fusion probably has more durability because of the polymers. BTW did you try all the Do Do waxes?

:iagree:I'm using supernatural right now on my Infiniti. Durability is about the same. Fuzion is more easy to apply than supernatural. I let both haze for 30-45 min brfore removal.

Does Supernatural do any sweating the next day?

Thanks,
Mike

I have never had it happen yet. Always remember, thin is in. Always apply a thin coat. I think most people were applying too much product(so I've heard and read), and that was causing some of the issues. Buff it off once, then let is cure overnight. Do a final buff the next day.

Ok I promised I would take a couple so here they are to show the size.

just to let you know you can wax several cars with no problem with this size. Its more then a sample size, its good for about five cars.

i just order the 6 sampler pack. I have a two car detail, black 2006 corvette and a silver 2008 Maserati GranSport Cambiocorsa. I will be sampling the waxes and posting pictures...

Thank you for the pics, Meghan! :xyxthumbs:

I agree 100%, I think most guy's try to buff too much on removal. Let the wax rest for a day and then do a final buff.

$69.99 each for a full size: ouch.

Sorry, as a hobbyist detailer I draw the line at prices like that.
I'd be willing to bet that someone could do a side-by-side of MaxWax vs. Dodo whatever and they'd be indistinguishable.
Or MaxWax over a sealant if durability is a factor: I'm betting you'd still come out as beautiful and even more durable, for much less $$s.

AG has so many different products I'm currently using and many more that I'm looking forward to trying: $65-$70 waxes with cute names are not some of them.
I'll leave this brand to the pros.

James, you should try the Swissvax line of waxes.
