I have a 4 door sedan BMW 3 series. I see the 20x40 cobra guzzlers are on BOGO. If I get those, do I need to get the mothers foam core drying towel, or will 2 20x40 guzzlers be plenty? If it is, what product should I get in place of the mothers towel?

I have used the larger guzzler on my truck and it dries it perfect using only one. Never gets enough water in it that I can wring it out. If you use the flood technique before you start drying it helps that much more.

I use Mothers Drying Towel, but if you can get the HD Guzzlers on BOGO then go for it. I never need to wring out my towel, but then again I use rinseless washes.

The Mothers foam core is my all time favorite. I can do my Expedition with one in a pinch! I have 8.

The bogo guzzlers are a good deal and will suit your needs........I like the Mothers towel better myself.

I would get all of them. One can never have too much microfiber.

Ehh I ended up removing the mothers towel and getting the Dodo Juice blue velvet pro sample. Just got my car back from the collision center after getting 3 panels repainted because some lady backed into me. It has been too long since I did any detailing.

I like using a single Guzzler followed by a few small WW towels. The Guzzler needs to be damp to work well.

I'm buying the guzzler on BOGO. Been using some crap chamois'

What's the flood technique?

Flooding just flowing a stream of water over the vehicle starting at the highest panel/the roof and working your way down the side as the water sheets/gathers, falling off the panel. An open end garbmden hose works best. If you have a hose nozzle with soak pattern that work as well. The key is low pressure non-jetting stream of water. If you slowly/steadily poured a container of water over the hood you would see sheeting and the panel would be left with almost no water on it. This works best on paint that has a layer of protection maintained on it. There are video on it as well.
Patting the towel on the panel is the best way to pickup the majority of the water; foam core wwmf only works efficinetly by blotting/patting. Then you can just follow with a plush MF and QD or spray sealant/wax. Or you can use CarPro Hydro or Permanon, then dry the vehicle with a Master Blaster, or blower of some sort that has filtered air.
