Do I need to detail my car before applying Dr. Colorchip?

I would like to detail my car with DA polisher and apply some Dr. Colorchip to my chips as well. What do I need to get done in the first place?

If you are going to use a DA polisher, then you should be claying anyway. So yes, if I were you I would clay the car.

When I use Dr. Colorchip, I use alcohol and Qtips to clean the damage before I apply the paint. You don't want wax/sealant in the chips or it will interfere with adhesion. I also allow a week before putting anything over the repair.
