This lady was drying her black Ford Escape with blue shop towels.
I really wanted to say something but I stayed quite didn't want to offend her.
Have you guys been in a similiar situation when you wanted to give the person some tips? If you did how did they react?
-I have been faced with some looks of disbelief, as well as some of the comments posted to your thread, OP/david11g35...
...whenever I am using K-C WypAll L40 paper towels to perform some detailing-processes to my vehicles.

-If I'm asked: "Why??"...
I most politely reply: "Which do you think is better for 'touching' your vehicle"...
1. Plastic towels (most MF towels=polyester/some-type-of-polyamide)
2. 100% Cotton towels (MF, or otherwise)
3. Purposeful-made Paper towels
-If these antagonists will take a few moments out of their busy schedule, I'll proceed to demonstrate
the differences between the above detailing-supplies...including psi while they're being used.
If no time can be allotted...I go on my "merry way".
-I've also determined that each individual has their own way of doing things.
