Do microfiber-specific detergents clean any better than "free & clear" detergents?

While I can't speak for All Free & Clear as a product unfortunately, my experience has been positive when using a MF detergent compared to a regular detergent. I have tested our regular detergent pod (Kirkland) vs what I have settled on for MF detergent (Shine Supply Micro Clean) a couple of times. Each time the difference I can tell is two fold. One, more stains come out and two the towels come out softer feeling like the MF is conditioned. Because of this I do feel that my MF towels will last longer using this detergent over a regular detergent. Now this is is not to say that my MF detergent gets all the stains out, it doesn't. To be fair no detergent will get all the stains out, but I am saying in my experience it gets more out. For heavy stains like using a metal polish on exhaust pipes or wheels, I usually end up soaking the towel in the detergent followed by a normal wash cycle (I do a little scrubbing during the soaking phase to evaluate things).
