Hi all,

I have Chemical Guys "Bug Bugger & Tar Remover" (A.K.A "Strong Wash") and am wondering if you could shed a little information based on your experience whether this product (and others from the same genere) is safe for your sealant/wax when diuted 10:1?

I want to use it in order to remove some tar before washing the car (and sometimes in-between washes, especially if bird droppings are involved), however I was wondering whether these products are LSP-safe.

Thank you!

In most cases when you use a 'strong anything', the LSP is going to be removed.

Remember, LSP's are sacrificial.

When I used Dawn and APC to remove wax and sealant, beading and sheeting were gone but the tar and asphalts sticking to the paint stood their ground. I had to use kerosene before claying the paint.

Also put things in extremes...

Is a Bug & Tar Remover adding wax?

What's the opposite of adding?

:)

Nice theme you have there Mr. Phillips.

The best bug and tar remover I've found that won't completely strip wax when properly diluted is Poorboys Bug Squash. Its great stuff!

Yeah I'm going to be trying bug squash, great reviews on it

1z einszett anti-inseckt also says it will not remove lsp.
