Today i did a detail of a 04 mustang cobra svt, it was a nice car, and came out really nicley. sorry i forgot my camera, this was a job that was sprung on us this morning.

I had my usual aresonal of product. a few of everything for diffrent jobs since i had no idea what to expect. When it came to waxing i didnt feel like using my regulal wax. It would have come out really nicley, but i just wanted to use somthing else. I had more then my fair share to select fom and ended up choosing meguires nxt tech wax. We applied two coats and it came out really nicley.

so after my story, the question is:

Do you ever find yourself reaching for somthing other then your favorite product just to use something diffrent and mix it up? I know we all have alot of our fav's but do you ever find yourself just mixing it up?

"If it 'aint broke, don't fix it."

I'll try new products, but what works for me, I'll keep going to. Sure, I'm not going to top everything with Souveran, but I have "staple" products that I use frequently.

I do have my favorites that are my go to products. Though when I get a new product, I will use that a few times to see if I like it.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

I'm always looking for the newest thing, but like the others said, always use what's best. Keep in mind also, that always trying and changing will start to bite into your profits. I agree though, it just gets boring seeing the same results, albeit very good.

It's like anything else, we always want something new after a while. But unless I had unlimited funds and was trying to find the absolute best combination for a show car, I don't see the need to try anything new unless there were something really earth shatteringly different. I bought Collinite for the winter, and Nattys Blue for the summer, and I'm good with that. But unless I see a great sale or get a different car that isn't a dark color, I don't have a need to go with anything else.

I got a top ten product setup, and they work great and quick to go to. That said, I am more frequently trying new items in trying to replace them !

Definetly experiment. Always thinking about best job; best bang for the buck; quickest; easiest; etc. Every once in a while the experiment will backfire and the job will have to be redone with the go-to favorite. It just keeps it more fun to me. Cost??? I keep reordering my favs and just occassionally fill in the new stuff. Probably wouldn't do it but you guys make it all sound good. SO, thanks for all the fun.

Yep, thats why i own so many it gives me a chance to switch off..if your tired of those high end waxes you own let me give me address ;)lol

from what i read your dying to try XY-Z:p

I'll either wait for reviews, or trade samples and try it my self. :D

I wasn't going to drop $20 for leather condtioner, until I got a sample of WG LC. Now, I am in love with it. (thanks supercharged!)

i definitely stick to the same group of products....part of getting great results from a product is knowing how to use it...polishes for example all have a diferent working time and pad choice is huge with certain polishes....different sealants apply differently as with some carnubas...some apc and dressings apply differently as well..get to know a product really well and you will get great results...the only time i switch brands is when i feel i have used a product every possible way and I am not getting the results i was looking for...

Id say get your staples and then try to trade samples with other people that way you save money top get more of what you do like.
