Do you ever have periods of life where it seems God even hates you?

I usually do not concern others with my personal affairs, but Im just at a loss. it's so funny, alot of people who ahve met and known me, teachers, my scout leaders, etc.. always tell me how good of a person I am and the things I do are good, but it just doesnt seem that way.

Just in the last few months, my car has been illegaly towed 2 times, hit 3 times, my little sister [reason i moved out of alcoholic household to begin with] now thinks im the biggest ass on the planet and treats me accordingly for some unknown reason.

before that the last 7 years of my life I raised my little sister basically, lived in a day to day hell, had my best friend since I was 3 ruin the only relationship Ive had, then we can move on to school being hell with 3/4ths of the kids driving a benz while Im in my 95 camry, well them seeing their reflection in my 95 camry :p

Im just at a loss of what to do. Just seems anyone I try to help, any friends I did have, have become jerks and stabed me in the back just before I left Georgia..

How do you all catch moments of peace? Im starting to think they don't exist. Mods please delte this if its against the rules, I just needed to say it somewhere.

Detailing helps me unwind. Also going out for a drive. Sounds like you have caught a streak of bad luck, but it always gets better. Hearing that won't change your life, but it is true. Just hang in there, go do something for yourself if you can. (ie. buy something you have wanted for a while, watch your ALL TIME FAVORITE movie, yoga)

It sounds like things have been going very bad for you but the will get better. If the friends you have stab you in the back I would say you definitely need to find some real friends. Alcohol and drugs can ruin a lot families and people lives. It's hard to say why bad things happen to us sometimes.

If I had a car like a Camry when I was in school I would have considered myself very lucky. I worked at a gas station 6 hours a night after school in High School and on weekends and I still did not have a car. When I was in college all I had was a 10 speed bike until I went to get my masters degree and then I had an old Oldsmobile with holes in the floorboard and most of the time I could not afford gas to drive it.

Try to surround yourself with good people and positive things. We all get tested at times. Continue on trying to be a good person. Things will be better.

ryandamartini. I truly know how you feel. I had my Aunt die and my little sister die within a couple months of each and then on top of that somebody hit my car, I was put into a class by my advisor that I had no place being in...etc. This was all in a couple of months time. The only thing that helped me was knowing that in time it would pass, and that God truly must believe how stong you are. Ever heard of the story of Job in the Bible? Had everything and lost it all, just to be rewarded by God ten fold. Who knows, maybe these people, situations were leading you down a path you were not meant to go down. It will pass, and better times will come. Usually doing most of what abrcrombe does helps. Just help do something to keep your mind otherplaces...........

You know, if detailing helps keep your mind off of things, my truck is awful dirty. Don't worry about the cold. Its just hype.......

you have us man! we are your friends and dont forget that. if you ever need anything or just need to talk send a pm and i will do anything i can for ya bud! keep your head up and dont dwell on the past. smile even though it is hard and enjoy life. you have your whole life ahead of you! keep God first in it and know he loves you no matter what!:)

this is a friendly bunch here so consider yourself lucky to be a member of this great place! just count yout blessings man and things get better....dont look at the negative side of it all man just keep your head up because things are better than you think! your still alive and kickin. you have a home with hot water, AC, heat, plenty of clothes, a very nice camry... so what if its not a benz, those kids are a bunch of little pricks anyways. i like the fact that my parents didnt give me a car or anything, or allowance. i had to work for my money and it has made all the difference. people got it worse than you, and some got it better, thats life...youll make it through just fine if you stay positive. and to all the negatives? so what? brush em off like theyre nothin...cause theyre nothin really

A Rabbi wrote a book "Bad Things Happen to Good People". It often seems like when it rains it pours. Life will get better. Try your best to stay positive even though life seems to be all negative right now.

thanks, its nice to have some encouragement.

Ill figure something out, maybe I can get that new hood Ive wanted after it got hit! hehe a new hood with Souveran, goal set! :p

We all know you're a great person, so no one can take that away from you! Life is one long journey, and sometimes in that journey, we'll hit some bumps on the road. Just make sure that when you hit those bumps, that no gravel scratches your paint!

But in all seriousness, I agree with Gary: try and surround you with good people. Bad people only drag you down. Stay away from drugs and alcohol. No good comes from the use/overuse from both of them. I have a brother-in-law that can attest to that.

This might sound strange, but do you have a puppy? I swear, I can have the worst day ever but my puppy always cheers me up! Well, my wife does too, but you cannot just go and buy one of those...

Endless choices: Zeus, Shiva, Buddha, Yehovah, Aphrodite, Koyasu-sama, Eros, Ra, etc., so you won't be alone. :D

Remember: goa'ulds are false gods...

Yes truly your life will get better as the day passes. Remember God Jesus Christ loves us all. I wish you the best.

Being treated like dirt does take it's toll, but walk tall, chest out, chin high knowing *you* did a what you could to help someone (friend or fo). What really eases my mind is nature, find a trail and walk it (enjoy Gods handy work). The sounds the woods and animals and creeks make is very relaxing to me.

Lone Star was right on the money there. Don't take it as God hating you, but Satan is there doing all of this to try and break you down. God will allow things like this to happen to test you and make you stronger. So just persevere and stick with what you know, and that is being a good person, and in the end you will be blessed greatly. Oh, and don't forget prayer. It can work miracles! :righton: :D

Hang in there :) Just remember that all these things happen so you can grow and become a better, stronger person! Surround yourself with people who love and appreciate you, and keep yourself busy :)

What doesnt kill you makes you stronger

Money is NOT the way to happines

If they dont want to be your friend, they have the problem NOT you

Those who gives you a hard time, often have a hard time themself

Plan your future, thats where you are going to be the rest of your life

In God we trust, the rest of you pays in cash;)

Live your life like YOU want to live it, dont let nobody "live" YOUR life

What goes around, comes around

Always look at the bright side of life (monty pyton)

You got friends here at AGF, lots of them.

Great words of wisdom Truls, Material things are nice but they will not happiness for long. Once you them you always want more and are never satisfied. Some of the most miserable people I have known in my life are super rich with more money then I can imagine. Strive for balance in your life. Stay focused on the things that are really important. You relationships with god, people, health and your character as a person are the most important things. Don't let other people drag you down.

I dont believe God (of your choice of course) hates anyone, but he will allow us to find our way and truly knows just how much we can take. Think of it as a test you will look back on later, one that says I remember being able to take more than I thought and became a better person for moving past it.

We all need bad days, to recognize just how good the best ones are !!

Most serious troubles in our lives somehow make us grow into better people; hindsight seems to be a huge help too, wich you can't have now.
Hang in there. We all care about you very much!
