i have a question.. if I may... by this "logic" (sorry lack of better term) how long would you wait between coats. If its fully cured within say an hour doesthat mean you can apply a seconed coat or do i need to let it si for the 24 hours that most recomend (this is for wax not sealent) and sorry to thread jack

If you quickly re-apply another coat of wax, what happens is that the solvents in the second coat dissolve some or all of the first coat and you don't get 2 true coats, you sort of get one thick one that might not be as optically clear as it could be if you wait. I usually put the first coat on, then wait til the next wash (a week), and apply another coat of wax or sealant, depending on the system on the car, and repeat the process a week later. I see no gain after 2 coats, but do the third one for durability more than anything. After that, I just freshen up the shine with a spray wax like the pinnacle stuff until I'm ready to polish again and start over. For my black BMW, I polish to LSP ready, add the Wolfang finishing glaze, then 2 coats of the Wolfgang DGPS 3 days apart. Then I add coats of Souveran paste a week apart as described above. I do this about twice a year, but the car looks fresh almost all the time.

And for Joys benefit waxes do not require 24 hours as they do not cross-link but set-up (meaning that the solvents evaporate) which takes 30-60 mins dependant upon ambient temp
