Do you mostly stick with one product line, or cherrypick from multiple lines?

Kind of a cherry picker, but mostly Meguiar's, and Rupes.

While i tend to like the same family of products for their "complementary effect" (nod to Kevin as i agree) most times it is job dependent. I have had a couple of really trashed corrections lately that resulted in me grabbing some Hi Temp XTreme Cut and wool to knock em down but i would have preferred my fairly consistent Menzerna approach from knock down to finish.

I used to only use Griots but now I use a combination of Pinnacle, Wolfgang, Adam's and CG. Only thing I use from Griots is their orbital and clay bar.

What is "a better result"? Therein lies the problem with this entire business. What you think is a better result is not my idea of a better result and so it goes. Better results can mean anything from being cost effective to eye candy appeal to making the most money possible. It can be money driven, visually driven, longevity driven, etc.

I pick whichever product fits my need and budget. I don't like to pigeonhole myself into one product line... I think there are too many great products out there not to have a variety of brands in your arsenal.

Thanks for the replies. I own a hodgepodge of stuff I bought mainly based on price + online reviews before I found this site.

Was about to make a big (for me) order and wanted to know if I should go with one product line. Doesn't seem to be a big deal.

Probably going with Megs Detailer line for bulk cleaning stuff & spray wax, HD Speed as an AIO, and I'm not sure what for compound, polish, and sealant or paste wax.

I like being able to pick whichever products work best for the job at hand. It doesn't matter to me if they are different brand products. Whichever individual product works the best for whatever I'm working on is getting used.

This is the same for me.

I've found when detailing my personal vehicles that no one product line works really well across all of them. The biggest variations I've found is in plastic trim, tires, and paint correction. Not one product I've tested is universally good across the board. A product which works with great success on one is a total bomb on another.

I've also found I'll spend more for certain types of products based on what they do. I'll spend more on polishes, LSP's and spray waxes, yet will go cheaper on things like wheel cleaners, interior protectants, clay, QD, APC's and tire dressings when a reputable, less expensive product is available. Probably not very rational...oh, well.

I stick with Optimum Products on everything paint related, just kind of got started with the by chance I guess. The only exceptions are Wolfgang Uber Trim sealant on trim and Sonax motor Côte on wheel wells after cleaning with Optimum Power-Clean. Also use Tuf Shine on tires.

I use a handful of different companies products and part of this is because I love experimenting with different products. I find some products fit my preferences better like tire dressings or somethings I like the way they work better (interior cleaner that doesn't leave streaks on plastic trim).
