Just like the title says:

Do you use the 8 sides of the towel with rinseless Garry Dean's method?

I was wondering this because all the waterless washes suggest folding the microfiber towel twice and use the 8 sides.

Can we do the same when doing a rinseless wash with garry dean's method?

Thanks in advance!

I think managing a sopping wet towel folding twice seems like a lot of work. I just like to use mitts - much larger surface area and spend a lot less time folding. I like lots of solution..not just damp.

I missed the sale on 6 side towels though.

i use the two sides of the microfiber mitt...

Yes I use all the sides. But the towel will dry out a bit. So, I keep a pump sprayer with waterless wash to soak it again (and spray the panel). That way I don't have to go back into the bucket.

This is why I like mitt but then I will rinse the mitt once so each surface may get used 2x so I get 4 sides out of a 2 sided mitt. I can use less pressure and more solution so feels safer.

I suspect NJ towels are 3 sided since the taxes are higher for a 4 sided towel.

so you didn't understand what I mean with 8 sides?

I'm gonna cite the Autogeek article "How To Use A Waterless Car Wash"

Using a Waterless Wash

1.- Fold your towel so there are 8 usable sides.
2.-Starting at the top of the vehicle (the cleanest part), spray a panel generously with your waterless wash. The size of the panel depends on how large an area you can spray and wipe dry before it dries on its own. Generally speaking, half the roof or half the hood is a good size section.
3.-....

Thank you sir!

I just use 4 for a waterless wash because I only use the long nap side of the towel. I do use the short nap for the windows so on a few towels I use all 8.

I believe everyone got your point. Swanicyouth has the best answer to your question. See above.

I use all 8 sides. Garry Dean uses the same side of the towel for the entire panel, including going very low on the panel (which I think is the dirtiest part), I kept thinking, why not flip the towel.

Very good advice right here, VERY good!

FWIW OP, I have a small car and use 5 mf towels to wash it when I decide to do the GD method and like Hazcat says, short nap for glass only. I would like to add that when doing areas closer to the bottom of the car, you can roll the towel when your working one of the 8 squares, this way the entire square is used, do you know what I mean by "roll the towel"?

Thanks what Swanicyouth is a good idea I was thinking on doing that.

Do you mean like roll the towel a little bit and use a different part of the square for each wipe?
