Do you use the apron?

Don't care much for aprons. Too constrictive for me especially when bending over or squatting.

I dress as comfortably as possible with loose, old tee or polo shirts. In cold weather I have my favorite hoody that has nice hand warmer pockets.

I don't use an apron, but I do use one of those fabric nail bags (the kind that hardware stores give away). The pockets are just the right size to hold a bottle of product. It is handy when working from a ladder or where the 'bendin' over' gets old.

Gloves primarily serve the benefit of not getting chemicals (particularly degreasers, APC, aggressive chemicals) on your hands for prolonged periods of time. Also great for preventing your hands from stinking like whatever product you're working with (particularly polishes/compounds, especially when priming).

I really only see Aprons being beneficial when buffing out the roof of a larger vehicle, even then, it's common practice to do the roof first, to eliminate risk of scratching/marring the corrected finish on the vertical panels you could rub up against.

The one that really impressed me was PureShine, who said said he dresses all up for the customer, then undresses in comfortable clothes to work on the customers car.

I give him props because he is working on high end cars. (Thumbs!)

As for gloves, I purchased some Nitrile one, 10 for like 3$. I absolutelly love them!

You're seriously getting ripped off. I think I got a box of five hundred at harbor freight for $5 you should check there:dblthumb2:

I like my PB's apron. It is microfiber waffle weave.

I use it occasionally and end up putting polishing bottles in the pockets to keep them handy.

I bought 1 from walmart love the pockets in front to reduce bending over.
