In a full detail, do you wash again after claying/nanoskin before you start polishing? Or do you just wipe off lube with clean MF towels as you clay and then go straight to polishing? Or something else?

Thanks.

don't think its necessary to wash after claying, just wipe off with mf towels

I used to wash after claying but found its much quicker to wipe with a mf

:iagree:Additionally, I will be using a pre-wax cleaner to apply the LSP whether it be sealant or wax. IMO that should make sure the car is clean

Don't you wash before claying? Unless you are using the Nano wash mitt, in which case you are washing and claying at the same time.

I rinse off the vehicle with another hose rinse and then dry completely before polishing including blowing out all the cracks, crevices, emblems, grill, headlights etc. I use a mixture of car wash soap as clay lube and simply make sure all of that is off and not dried on the paint.

if there is a lot of residue or something that you think will interfere with the polish, i spray QD strength ONR on a quartered MF and wipe, then flip towel and dry. or do that with Opti-Clean. no need to go crazy.

I power wash or rinse after claying just to be sure.

Since I use a quick detailer as a lubricant, I don't follow up with a wash. I only do after compounding/polishing to remove any leftover dust from the polish.

i give it a quick rinse with the PW just to wash off any lube residue, but not a full wash

I don't wash but I rinse afterwards

Thanks everybody.

I like the power rinse idea and will do that next time.
