Do you wash PFM or similar drying towels after only 1 use

The obvious answer is yes but if you're drying a just-washed car the thought does occur about washing less often..... but I really can't take a chance. Just wonder if anyone else does more than 1 "drying" before washing.

Yes I use Rags to Riches detergent and only dry on low settings. Heat will kill them. Thx.

I dont -- my large drying specific towels, & the reason is that I blow 98% of the water off anyway you cant hardly even tell it was used- so I will re-use them a time or two, no need to wear'em out washing & drying them when its not needed.

Thank you. Can I ask if you detail for $ ? .. it doesn't change my opinion 1 iota. Love the quote in sig. by the way.

I don’t reuse the towels. I have about a dozen PFMs and just use them until I have several used, then wash them together. They might look clean but I don’t want to risk them getting contaminated while drying and then scratch the paint.

No...I don't wash my bath towel after every use and I also don't with my drying towels. I blow dry most of the water off the car so the towel is hardly used and I also don't use drying aids with my drying towels. I would say about every 2-3 uses they get washed after getting hung to dry on a drying rack. If I see any visible dirt then it goes in the wash container.

I have to laugh at guys that use like one towel per "swipe" on their cars on rinseless washes etc. They must do wash like everyday.

Just use common sense :)

I don't see the point to wash drying towels that only absorb water (NOT water + drying aids) after every use.

I dry the car then hang dry the towel for the next time.

Eventually I'll wash the towels with Rags to Riches. Maybe after 3 or 4 uses.

I do a lot of rinseless washes so the answer is yes with those particular towels. I will reuse the PFM towels if they are used after a two bucket wash and the vehicle is dried with a dryer.

Thx for all the responses. I should have mentioned that I have a small detailing business, therefore a little risk in changing a process.

Would you be ok if you paid $200-300 for a detail and your car was dried with a "used" drying towel ? Possibly. It's getting clayed, compounded. and polished afterwards any way.

I would say it doesnt matter then, I am pretty confident that worse things are done that customers have no clue about
