Let’s say I owned a red suv would I only wax the red parts ? What about the windshield wipers and black trim?

One could apply to wiper arms and glass. However, if the black trim is plastic, use a plastic specific product like Car Pro Dlux or like.

Use the appropriate products for the materials. Wiper arms are very resilient to weathering and are easily replaceable. Glass gets the appropriate product, as does trim.

When I coat my vehicles, I coat almost the whole thing. Paint obviously get covered. I'll coat the wiper arms because I've seen several of our cars have arms that faded and started to show sun damage pretty quickly and keeping them protected seemed to hold that at bay. if the car is new I'll also coat the black plastic trim. If it's used/a few years old, I'll go with a trim related product.

So if I am useing a ceramic hybrid wax I should only use it on the red part of the car?
