Dodge HEMI...engine bay??

Just wanted to ask, is it safe to clean the HEMI engine out of a dodge pickup with soap and water?

I have cleaned jeep and chevy engines with no electrical issues.
 
I have a 2004 ram with a hemi, and never had an issue with it after washing the bay. I leave it running if I'm not flooding it.

Other times I spray wd-40 on the plugs coils.

The wd-40 is like a repellent for water, keeps electronics all dry.

I just used CG wash clear in my foam cannon to clean the entire engine bay in my 2012 Ram 2500 with no issues at all. Then I used my backpack blower to dry everything out and then sprayed everything down with some vinylex that I had sitting around, blew off the excess, and wiped down the plastics. Came out really nice and had no water issues afterwards. I did take the truck for a ride afterwards to let engine heat dry out any remaining moisture though.

If your truck is older, cover the distributor with a ziplock first!
 
Good to hear! Suppose to be washing the ride around 2 today! It's a friends, so I would have hated it, if something went wrong!

Not a HEMI owner but with that huge engine cover you should be just fine!
