My brother in law wanted me to detail his truck so I agreed to do it if he helped and a case of frosty cold ones lol. This truck was hammered and has never been detailed. Unfortunately I was not able to snap a bunch of pics because I was coaching him on how to detail(using a steamer, foam gun, PCXP etc.)

Products & Tools

Foam Gun
Wash DG901
Iron X
Nanoskin fine grade
Mothers clay(remove over spray on bed)
Meguairs tire&wheel cleaner
various wheels brushes
Tires-Perl via HVLP
XMT 360 via PCXP and Flex(Orange LC pad
topped with Polish Angel Rapid Waxx

Looks good! Time for a cold one for sure!

I like trucks because they have a lot of easy to polish panels. I hate trucks because they have so dang much surface area!

lots of area lol. My brother in law has never really detailed a vehicle and has never touched a polisher. He was tired after the claying step. I was like man we haven't even got to the LSP yet.

:iagree:
Are you sure the before and afters are the same truck?

Breath taking results, the colors are so vibrant to they pop/jump out of the screen

As the owner of a crew cab who can sympathize, I hope it was good beer! Looks good.

Curious, does he have any issue with rust in the quarter panels like my 05 ram did? If not, I would strongly suggest a rust inhibitor like POR 15 be sprayed into it between the layers of steel.

Gotta love those foam guns!!!!
Hopefully your brother in-law brought the case of frosty ones with him. From the sounds of it he didn't have any energy left to reach into his back pocket to grab his wallet.

I try to avoid them.

Me too. I don't detail to many trucks most don't like the price I quote.

Nice work! Which "cold ones" did you enjoy?

Really interested in spraying tire shine via HLVP. Gotta look into it more.

Thanks for sharing.

Yep! Nice even coat gets in all the crevices in one shot and is faster then applying the traditional way.

Nice work and nice truck. I like the vent gate and Recon Tails.

Wow, I wish when I washed my truck it came out like that. Lol

I've looked at spray guns and there's so many varieties of volume and feed types. What did u find is best?
