Dodo juice, who uses it?

My take is I've never tried a Dodo product that wasn't great. Blue Velvet Pro is a top wax, yada yada yada.

I could go through the whole line...but if your comparing it to Meg's - the products just generally seem more exclusive and nicer to me.

I mean compare a Wookies Fist to a Megs wash mitt...that's pretty much it right there.

Never used any of their products, but will be ordering some of their Orange Crush wax soon. I'm interested in some of their other products. But I tend to buy gallons and they're non wax stuff is pretty pricey only coming in small'ish sizes.

orange crush is a lovely wax, i don't think you'll be disappointed. that and blue velvet are probably my two favourite waxes. that said, i also have the mr skittles limited edition forum members wax, which is just sublime

It's kinda unfair to compare DJ to other competitors by price alone. Personally I think the price is totally worth it. I don't mind buying 100$ worth of wax to keep my new car looking new. If a 200ml jar of wax will do 25 coats over the course of 3 years, that's fine IMO.

I've tried a few of the waxes and red mist. Haven't been disappointed yet.

The panel pots are perfect for someone looking to try DJ. But they are a gateway drug to the larger DJ pots.

Just received seven of their waxes:
-SN small pot
-DW hard wax
-Ph small pot
-BV small pot ( all the above part of the four pack on AG)
-PH pro Big pot
-BV Pro small pot
-Bouncers Satsuma Rock. ( Used Bouncers CTR previously which is a delight)
-SN finger pockets
-SN wheel cleaner for when Sonax FE strength is not needed
-SN Medium Clay
-BOB Shampoo
-Ferrous Dueller ( only complaint prior to use is that the bigger size does not come with a sprayer head as it is a refill I guess)
Would be happy to report once I've used any.

The only one I used prior was Born Slippy Clay lube, it dried a bit too soon in 80-90 degree temp in the shade, other than that it was great as you can dilute 10-1 and nice soapy feel to it.

You should do a 2 layers of the hard double wax and top it with a soft layer of orange crush or purple haze.
Make sure you prep it first with a polish, and use the products sparingly. No sense in wasting a good product by putting it on too thick.

Not sure if you were addressing my post, just in case you were THANKS.

Forgot to mention I used SN Microprime as a cleanser with a microfiber hand pad, wasn't too crazy about that though. It may have worked better with a DA, but don't know as I havent tried it as such.
Would appreciate a feedback if anybody has an input on the Microprime.

I got the DODO sample pack of waxes and tried them all on my 2003 Zinc Yellow Cobra.

They all made it shiny but only the Orange Crush changed the color at all. it made the Yellow darker and took away some of the "pissyness" of the Zinc Yellow.

The colour change aspect of the waxes is very subtle tbh. It's more of a light enhancement than a colour change. Dom (dodo founder) wrote an interesting peice on it a while back, showing the waxes on a white car. I'll see if I can dig it out

I was.
I have applied lime prime and lime prime lite polishes by hand, but never used SN microprime. Reg lime prime is pretty abrasive and not recommended for softer paints. I have a 2013 civic which is supposed to be a soft paint, but I don't think it was too abrasive for it. I topped it once with supernatural and another time with double wax hybrid and it looked like you could swim in it.

Lime prime and micro prime are essentially the same product, but with different abrasives. So if you like one, chances are you'll like the other (or visa versa ). I've actually found micro prime to be great for restoring tarnished hard plastic. please bare in mind if you use it for that, it's not what it was designed to be used for. I don't want to be getting it the neck because someone tried it and it didn't work or they didn't like the result lol

Lol. I hope no one gets shanked over a topic on a detailing forum...tho I do know how much we all value our paint....They are mostly the same. Lime prime is lime prime lite with abrasives. Lime prime lite is excellent on exterior trim as well. Leaves no residue.

Good to know, like I said I feel it's perhaps best applied by a machine insteah of hand though.

As above, I saw a user review of MP via DA on a black car and it was really respectable. I used it as a cleanser by hand with Meguiar's MF hand pads and wasn't too thriled, perhaps because it's best used as a polish with appropriate pads instead of it being uses as a cleanser.

what was the issue you had with it?

I felt it didn't add much depth and the finished job was a bit dull, it also left a bit of residue?
On the following panels used Prima Amigo and liked it better so stuck with that.

Like I said before haven't tried it different ways, ie. via a DA, to pass a final judgement on it.
