This weekend I didn't have too much to do around the house, so decided that I would wash my truck and my gfs Equinox. (sorry no pics of the equinox).

This was my first time using ONR and I must say it worked really. My wash mitt glided over the paint and I was very impressed with the effectiveness of it (of course my truck was not very dirty).

Since I purchase the WG black diamond tire gel I figured I'd give it a try and so far I love it. It went on really easy. Let it sit for a couple hours, then went out and wiped the tires down and it leaves a nice dark look without too much shine.

I also decided that since I have cleaned my truck that I was going to apply a coat of Dodo supernatural which I bought 30ml container of. The truck already has a coat of Powerlock and 845 on it. But figured it couldn't hurt to put another coat of wax on and I was itching to try out the supernatural.

I have been working a lot with liquid waxes lately and applying via my DA, so it was a little different working with a hard wax again. I wanted to test it out applying by hand and via DA and see what I liked best. So one side I applied by hand, and it went on fairly easily but was definitely more work than with the DA. The other side I applied via PC 7424 and LC CCS red pad. I had to pop the wax out of the container and rub it on my pad. It went on very easily with the DA but I did notice that is different than applying a liquid wax, which seems to really be meant for polishers. But it wasn't bad and I was able to get the other side done faster.

Over all it went on fairly easy and wiped off fairly easy. Not as easy as a some sealants. The look of it is awesome though. I really like the wetness and reflection it gives to the paint.

I've attached a few pics. I was messing around with my gf's camera testing out different shots.

Thanks!

This is the reflection of my garage ceiling in my hood

:props: Looks great! I also like the look of the tires!!! I personally don't like when the tires are just as shiny as the paint!

Damn, that thing shines! I agree with Dr Oldz on that tire shine. Looks like exactly what I like.

X 3. That Supernatural is really great. Is that version 1 or 2 I wonder. The tire shine level is nice, they don't look like polished black plastic, like on a Hot Wheels car.

Yeah this was the first time I used the WG tire gel and I love it. And the smell of it is awesome too. Reminds me of sun tan lotion or some other tropical lotion.

I use to do the shiny tires when I was younger and just came to the conclusion that I like only a little shine now. I think have a dark black clean tire just looks better than a shiny tire that sticks out. I'd prefer you to look at the paint and not the tire! lol

Version 1 or 2 of the Supernatural or the tire gel? I'm not sure about either, but I could check it out for you. What is the difference between 1 and 2?

SeaJay,

Having too much time on your hands isn't necessarily a bad thing especially when you have a truck like that and some slick detailing supplies and a nice garage! :props:

Simply spectacular! :props:

Thanks Bobby.

The only problem is my garage isn't big enough. I mean I can get my truck in there, but there is very limited space to move around. And I have to move my snow blower and lawn tractor outside first. And it's not heated. I do have a propane heater, but those propane tanks add up fast...especially when I'm just finding reasons to detail in the garage...lol.

Love those trucks...

Thanks for sharing your side-by-side experience of applying a paste wax by hand versus by machine...

Supernatural Version 1 or 2.... From what I understand(And I can be wrong here) is that ver2 is in the 200ml plastic pots and ver1 is in the wooden and sample pots currently! Ver2 is supposed to have a slightly higher carnuba content!

Good to know. I'm assuming it's ver 1 since I only bought a 30ml sample pot. I didn't want to drop the dough for the full size until I at least tried it out. I just find it hard to justify spending that much on a pot of wax.
