Does fixing a dent damage paint in anyway?

Definitely. That design line will probably be lost as the dent is worked out ... at the very least it will not be as well-defined.

I’m glad it worked out for you, I am. We all deserve a break every once in a while.
If my SUV doesn’t stay the same, Ill be happy with it being less noticeable.
 
Dent is gone, technician had to drill a small hole because the metal was hard.

So if you ever get a dent, don’t be discouraged.
