I have been reading where Spray Wax is good to prolong the looks of a great wax job. I use Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax.....would using the Pinnacle Spray Wax change the looks of the paste wax? I use Crystal Mist between waxing, Just wondering if I would gain anything by using the spray wax? Feed back please

Shouldn't change the look, just maintain it.

:xyxthumbs:

Thanks for the feedback....I was just afraid that the Souveran Paste Wax would lose some of its "pop" when putting the Spray Wax over it....

When using the matching spray wax to maintain I would agree with Mike. But if you choose to switch brands then I would say it will alter the look.

Thats if your talking about a synthetic sealant and applying a "carnuba" based spray wax. Even so, the amount of carnuba on these spray waxes is so minimal I wouldnt worry about altering the look. It would be minimal at most.

I disagree....

If you put a wax over a sealant does it change the look of the sealant? Yes you see more of the wax look in the final product. This is the same reason people have multiple LSPs. They see differences in the final look, and choose them based on the desired outcome. If this wasn't the case you would simply have 1 sealant and 1 spray wax/detailer. There would be no need for anything else.

If what you are saying is correct, if you use CG Blacklight / V7 combo it would look the same a CG Blacklight / Optimum Car Wax. But they don't....

From personal experience though, when I put down a layer of Collinite 845 and a few weeks down the road spray wax in between with something like Mothers spray wax I dont find it negatively changes the look, if at all.

Troy is spot on!

Thanks for all the info...I purchased a sample of the Pinnacle Spray Wax to try....:buffing:

That's due to a chemical synergistic compatibility and no extreme differences in the ingredients.

I would agree. Spray waxes have been changing, (like a lot of things in this industry), and there's a lot of very good products on the market that work very differently.

:)

There is a term I began using when the BF line was re-formulated and I started seeing definite plus side to staying with the same product line for your protection needs. (IE: AIO + Sealant + Wax + Spray wax / detailer)

Synergetic Excellence

From the first time I used AW I noticed a difference in the look of my paint about 1/2 hour later, more metallic would show up, so I have to say that when using AW over the top of DG #111 it does make a difference IMO.
