i have minor swirls so i am going to see if i can get away with xmt 1 with a orange pad(e2k).
if that doesnt work what pad should i use with xmt 2 or 3?
also i have a few deep scratches where a cat was on my car. do i use xmt 3 in this small area or do i do the whole panel or just a section?
what do i do in places that the pads cant reach?

sorry for all the question:o. i am just trying to get ready for this upcoming weekend.
color is black if it matters.
thanks in advance!

You can try XMT 2 with the orange pad. If that doesn't work, you can try XMT 2/green or XMT 3/orange. It all depends how bad the swirls are. Only the deep scratches need to be addressed, you do not need to do the whole panel. If you run your fingernail over the scratch and it gets caught, you won't get it out easily with a PC. I am not trying to discourage you, but you are going to have to do multiple passes and a lot of patience. If there are places where your pads can't reach, consider a polish that you use by hand. A popular one is Meguiar's Scratch X.

Good luck and let us know if you need anything else.

I would use XMT3 and a cutting pad in just the area of the deep scratches to start with. You already know you're gonna need something strong there. You will also get to see what it does to the surrounding areas such as marring. If you don't get any induced marring from #3, then I would do the entire car in it if it's bad. If not, you're probably gonna need #2 to remove the marring from #3 and then go ahead and do the rest of the vehicle. I would use a yellow cutting pad though with #3 to get rid of the cat scratches. You're more than likely gonna need to.

I see they will be making a 4-door SI. I might have to look at one when they come out!

I used to work for a Honda Dealership and the owner still calls me monthly to check on me.

they have already came out with it... they are very nice!

My friend is VERY impressed with the new Si. He says it is a lot smoother than his RSX-S, and he kind of wishes he had one instead. He is really into the high-revving motors and i-VTEC... so this is right up his alley.

the main difference between the rsx and the si is that the si has lsd and it is AWESOME!!!!!. the car is very fun to drive and the seats are comfortable. definitely the best civic sofar.
