Hello all,
I now have leather seats and 3 dogs, two mini Aussie's under 40 lbs and 1 mix pup from a rescue. I have no idea how big she will get. My two Aussie's like to ride on the back seat floor. However, when the third one goes for a ride to the Dog Park, I am afraid all heck will break loose in the back seat. So if you have dogs and leather, what seat covers do you recommend? I am afraid I will get tired of pulling a seat cover on and off every weekend and a few nights a week. Do any of you just leave it on? :grouphug:
Thanks,
Tonya

we got a rubberized sheet that was designed for babyseats at BabiesRUs. It was designed so that car seats do not breach or damage leather. I take it out to buff leather every month, but wonderful as leather still looks new underneath it. It even has cutouts for seatbelts.

The last thing you need is this!

Thanks for the info guys!
LOVE THE PIC! I laughed so hard I woke up my husband. Poor guy is recovering from surgery and I am keeping him up.
Thanks that was an unexpected laugh!

What kind of car do you have? I have a cover that goes over the seat and pretty simple to install and remove. 2pc set, 1 goes over the back, the other over the seat part. Sorry I forgot what brand, but I can dig it up if you're interested.

Check Cabelas, Bass Pro, Dogs Afield they carry a car seat cover made for this purpose.

tod071 I might be interested. Started looking online. I need to talk with a friend, he has a 90 lb dog and says she scratches his leather even with cover. I want to make sure I don't get the same cover he has. Did you use the cover much? How big is your dog? I am not sure how large the new pup will get. The vet can't even tell what she has in her. She looks like a Jack Russell on stilts. The recuse people thought she was a Aussie border collie mix. The litter was dumped so parents are unknown. If it is not too much work let me know what type it is, please.
Thanks,
Tonya

DURAGEAR™ Universal Fit Auto Bench

I have this one. Just buy the one that fits your car, tuck the ends, and you're good to go. Looks pretty decent, so if you take the dogs around more than people, you can remove it as needed (as opposed to install as needed).

I have 2 boxers, 1 90lbs, the other 75lbs. So I don't think you'll have a problem with your oversized Jack Russell. :D
