Hey guys!

When we're running our business, we all have this mentality of making sure
everything is running perfect and no marketing outlet is left out of the equation.

But a lot of times, it's best to only focus on those that actually yield results.

Check this article out on what you should spend your time and effort on!

Don’t waste your time on the $5 idea, put your energy in the $100 idea –

P.S. leave a comment on the blog :)

What are some examples of your $5 ideas, $50 ideas or $100 ideas? Its a nice article and it would help me (a weekend warrior) to better understand if I can see some examples from your perspective

Here's an example from the article

If you update your Google+, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.. But only
Facebook and Instagram yield significant results, then forget about Google+ and Twitter

Instead of spending time on all social media platforms.. only spend time on the ones that
actually bring in customers

So if you focus on Twitter.. and you post constantly, you get 500 followers, etc.. but you
never get 1 customer from Twitter, then stop posting on Twitter and focus that time/effort
into something else that will bring in customers

Another example could be spending time researching products vs building a referral program..
out of those 2, which one will bring in more customers/business?.. obviously the referral program,
cause that will actually bring in more customers ($$$$$)

$100? Shooting low, are we?

haha, for the sake of keeping it simple :xyxthumbs:

Oh sorry, I read that part in the article and it didn't compute in my head. Your focus was more on marketing ideas, I get it now. Thanks!

I only spend time on Facebook I get a few customers from it. The only thing I spend money on is a few events and shows. 90% of my business is word of mouth and good reviews theses are the two best things. I have no referral program at all and give repeat customers $20 off their next detail or if they bring more than one car. I'm booked out till the first week of September.

That's exactly what it's about

Finding what works for you and keep on doing it!

The concept is sound but what would be much more helpful would be to give exemples of what really brings in customers vs what doesn't.

All I know is WIPE NEW is a cheap product and who ever came up with that is enjoying a drink with an umbrella on an island right now!

There is a lot more to marketing than just focusing on what seemingly works at a certain time. Marketing is a complex part of any business that takes real dedication, lots of real world knowledge, and a healthy amount of instinct.

I appreciate the OP writing these helpful articles but sometimes it's not super simple.

Pureshine has an amazing system, and has built his business for years around him, but that doesn't mean that just anyone can carbon copy his marketing strategy and have the same results.

That's what I hope people don't forget:
as always, what works for you, may not work for someone else. Once you have found what works for you, then do everything you can to increase and improve those results.

People who are starting off shouldn't be scared by marketing.. take baby steps then scale when necessary :xyxthumbs:

No one can say what will and what won't work

You have to test what works for you

and the only way by doing that is putting time, effort, and money

There's no other way around that

The best advice I would give is maximize the most of
what you can with what's free, i.e. social media, craiglist, forums (if done right), etc..
