Done with my Gas PW.. going Electric.. Help please!

I have not been happy with my Karcher 5.740. I am on my third one in the last 8 months. First one was leaking so bad from the motor that it stopped working. They sent me my second unit and within a couple weeks that one started making some weird noises and stopped running. 3rd one is in the mail. I will say there customer service has been awesome

electric pressure washers usually do not last a long time (we shouldn't expect them too). look on CL and you should be able to score one for at least or more than half off. i bought one that was barely used for $110 and it retails for $189+tax ($204.59 total), which was about half price (pictured below). the nice thing is the wand has a quick disconnect and you can attach a foam cannon/lance with an adapter which can be found just about anywhere...

Yeah, I kinda do expect it to last.. I konw guys who have ran thier's for many years before they die. I don't expect it to last forever. That Green Works has a bad rep for getting leaks and losing pressure. A ton of reports about this on multiple sites. I wen't with the Sun Joe. It has the best reviews, Most power in my price range, and most universal wiht it's quick disconnect already on the wand. I also spoke to a company that sells probably 30+ brands of pressure washers and they recommended it as well.

I've been using my ar383 for almost a year. Never tipped it over, only time it had a leak was when I put the wrong side of the hose adapter on to the machine.

I've had my current Karcher for about 3 years, and it's still going strong. that said, i know of guys that have burnt them out in 12 months.
that looks like a good design Visitor :xyxthumbs:

Ok, so I got the Sun Joe and wanted to give my impressions. Foams perfectly fine with an MTM foam canon. Almost as good as my Gas pressure washer. It's a very close comparison on the foam canon. It's quiet. Looks great. Love the quick disconnect nozzles. Now for the BAD.. couple things that piss me off. The high pressure hose is 20' long and you CANNOT buy another longer hose. The fitting type they used looks like the universal type but I found out quickly when I tried to make a quick disconnect setup like I did on my last one for the high side they are a different type of fitting. Even Sun Joe confirmed this for me when I asked them. Also the front plastic fitting lasted about 3 washes and started leaking and broke. I am looking for a Brass replacement and I think I found one (Powerwasher 80006) that appears to work for some. Overally I really like the pressure washer but the 20' hose with no way to extend it is a HUGE deal for me. I find my self constantly moving it around to get around the car. This movement is what stressed the fitting and caused it to break. When this one breaks it will be the last Sun Joe I purchase unless they offer a 30' hose which is what I had on my last one and LOVED. If anyone knows of any other brass fittings to fix my issue let me know!
