Don't like rinseless wash.

Rinseless has it place.

Of course, technique has a lot to do with getting mar free results just like a two bucket wash.

Doing rinseless does not mean you cannot pre-soak with rinseless solution or hose it down when dealing with moderate amount of soiling.

Agree with this - I still pressure wash prior to doing my regular rinseless wash, to ensure that no grit or large particles remain by the time I apply my mitt or towel to the paint.

I know realize formulations contain lubricants that "float" the surface contamination BUT, dragging a bow wave of debris across a polished panel has to be imparting defects to some degree....

I quite agree with this sentiment. To my mind, rinseless washing should be seen as a compromise and not the saviour it is sometimes claimed to be. More than this, chemical residues are an issue. I personally use the paint protection I most like and do not wish for a rinseless wash (or anything else for that matter) to leave a residue of anything, whether it is supposed to prolong the LSP lifetime or not. I have not yet encountered a rinseless wash product which was not guilty of this to some extent.

ps. "lubricants that "float" the surface contamination" - suspending and anti-deposition agents, not to mention polymers, are everywhere in cleaning products. Even your dishwash liquid and laundry powders will have them. I know some companies market these characteristics as novel... which makes me rather jealous of their marketing abilities!!

I suspect if something is floating on the surface in rinseless it is also floating in a traditional soap. The difference is you cannot see them because of the suds.

Of course, this could include very small rocks that float (think Monty Python). ;)

The floating/suspended dirt concern is why some say the 2BM method is flawed (not perfect) and best to use a single bucket and just rinse out the mitt.

There has to be at least one controllable variable that caused these light swirls. Care to expand on towel types used and other notables?

I used the same microfiber wash mit as i do with my regular car washes. If i have to prewash the car before using the rinseless wash doesn't that defeat the purpose of the rinseless wash. IF i have to prewash the vehical I rather just wash it the old fashion way.
