Door Jambs - Pre or Post Wash

1.a Would you clean the interior of the windshield? Or would you send them off knowing the interior windshield has somekind of streaky fingerprints going on and obviously it’ll be what they’ll see the moment they sit back in their car.

“Exterior only” lol.

I would clean the windshield.
I might clean the doorjambs. Maybe, but IMO the windshield would be more important.

Definitely have to do the Windows. Might as well give it a quick vacuum and clean the cupholders while I'm here....what the heck. Might as well clean the mats and that coffee stain on the seat

^^^^ What happens to me everytime I do a exterior only detail

S$$t why not do the whole interior for crying out loud:buffing:

Has anyone coated their doorjambs? With a real coating, not the spray on crap, but a real dedicated product. I’m thinking about coating my doorjambs to see if I notice a difference.

Every car that I coat I do the jams. Doesn't take but I few minutes. Makes them easier to clean

Yup! interior only on any spunk mobile. I use to take anyone's Due Dumpsters when I had guys on them. But as far as any interiors in really bad shape I've never had to feel desperate enough to give my work away for $20 an hour. If they want to pay what I charge on exterior for 3X's the amount of time it's going to take to do it than I'm totally fine with that! But the second I tell them the interior is going to cost X amount of dollars for my time, then they get it. And in most cases yes they shine. But if they say then go for it. Great. lol 2K

On another note. When I do jams I clean wax and dress. And they look nice and last a hell of a lot longer than cleaned glass. especially with so many vapers/ecigs slime these days. And I'm guessing when they see I went as far as doing the jams and did such a nice job. They won't be to bummed on a streak they can wipe themselves in 10 seconds.

If they’re extra dirty, I’ll plow the dirt and mess off with a tornador before the wash process.

Then I’ll go over them again as a final step with a MF towel and spray detailer.

I realize per the OP, a PRE is required for maybe the -masses-. Not a pro, just a Joe detailing ones own rides...

I did also start the -frothing the interior - thread as well.
And yes, people can be p1gs....
Neighbors husband recently had surgery and was in the hospital She asked me to shuffle his cars around.
All 3 were pigstys and I couldn't even wrap myself around how one could even drive when the interior cabin is dirty.
Even if the gentleman did not do a wipedown or throw out trash, you would think the other half who rides in it would want some sort of cleanliness to it,

We need to start a thread instead of "Post your unpacking pictures" and call it "Post your worst interior before and after pictures!"
