Doorjams?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Exterior because of the wash and water that can channel into them.

but some trunks have doors! so where do we go with that? huh huh?..its part of a wash, or interior takes what an extra 2-5 minutes...

Perfect thread for a "agree to disagree" comment, because it makes sense for either one.

PS you are beating me in views and replies for our threads this morning. I need to gain speed :)

Interiors only.

Explanaition: When I look at a vehicles exterior, the only one's I've ever noticed the doorjambs from the outside are those vehicles parked in the junk yard.

Exterior gets a quick wipe down, and interior I will make the jambs flawless.

Interior. They look outside if they want the outside cleaned. They have to open a door to view the interior. But you have to at least wipe the door frame/jambs dry with a towel if you washed the car.

Door jams are almost a grey area and whether interior or exterior. I would do them anyway because if the door's open they'll be visible and if not clean will make the whole job look poor.

I use to do them only when I did an exterior wash. Ended up with a couple customers asking about it so I now do them regardless. As Bobby and others have said it's just more professional and gives that just cleaned look.

I would say yes regardless of either option. Just do it! - Nike

:iagree:

Of course you just do it ! ITs the little things that count....clients can choose...make them choose YOU

Good question. You cannot see these area whether you are in or out of the car (when the doors are closed). I think wiping it and lightly cleaning it as part of the wash isn't detailing in its strictest sense. Most detailing shops here wash the car whether the customer asks for an exterior or interior detailing.

But cleaning it thoroughly, polishing it to increase the shine and depth and finally applying wax or sealant on it, I will go to exterior because the same kind of products are used.

Scoreboard:

Interior 5

Exterior 8

Anyone else?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
