Hello Mike,

I've just purchased a litre of the DP Coating Prep Polish. I have been using Danase Pure Polish to prep the paint before Opticoat 2.0 and EXO, but is was down to my last few ounces. The DP polish looked similar and a great alternative. Knowing what you know about how critical it is for the panel to be clean before applying EXO, would you trust using the DP polish and then aplying EXO without any further wipe downs with IPA or panel wipe? Do you trust it prior to Opticoat without any further wipe downs with IPA or panel wipe?

Detailer's Coating Prep Polish has been tested and approved for use with all coatings that Autogeek carries. That includes:

Cquartz
GTechniq
Optimum

...and more. :dblthumb2:

Yes to both questions.

Here's my next project that will get the Detailer's Twins. This is a 1979 Firebird Formula with a basecoat/clearcoat paint job that's all swirled out and filled with scratches. It's also in dire need of claying.

Have to buff it out first and for that I'm using some new stuff not on the market yet. Black is always the best test panel.

:D

Thank you everyone. I've been using it this morning and I like the results. It's easy to remove. I'm using a short nap MF and a quick buff with a shaggy MF. I can't see any residues. It seems to add a bit of jewelling or maybe that's the clarity it provides. It thinner than the Danase pure polish and had to learn not to use too much at first..
