I finally got a chance to use DP Rinseless W+G today. I apologize for the lack of before pictures, but I have been at school this week and my dad has had to use my car to commute to work. It rained for two days so the car was fairly mucky with 100 miles of rain and road grime, just to give a little basis for the results.

I have taken the jump into DP products because most people say that it is a highly underrated product line. I couldn't agree more. This knocked off ONR without any ifs, ands, or buts. I used about a gallon of water and probably a bit more product than I needed (about 2 ozs), and a Cobra green microfiber detailing cloth to clean. I used as little pressure as possible, letting the weight of the DP and towel to clean. It cleaned with ease, I basically cleaned the car within 30 minutes (including the wheels). I did it panel by panel, and dried it after cleaning. I did everything above the cars accent line (the line in the body panels) first, then did everything between that and the trim line, then everything below that. This minimized the risk of marring as much as possible, at least in my eyes! After washing, it was time to dry. It literally acted as a QD when drying, leaving a great streak free finish. This may be due to the dilution I used it at, but it none-the-less made drying a breeze. I then used the rest for the wheels, where it was equally effective.

Pros:

-Smells like bubble gum
-Good cleaning power
-Streak free shine
-Looks great, not quite the just waxed look but close
-A little goes a long way

Cons:

-Only one I can think of is that it dried my hands out like crazy haha

Conclusion:

Great product, I am sure to try more DP products now that I have experienced Rinseless Wash and Gloss. If you are an ONR user or need a great rinseless product for the winter (I used it in the garage, exactly where it sits in the pictures) then I would not hesistate to try this out!

What makes it better than ONR?
While I do like the DP RW&G, I'm not sure I consider it "better" than ONR. They seem to be pretty equal in performance to me.
I know some people comment on a nicer scent, but I never really noticed anything good or bad about the smell of either product.
My choice would probably be based on whichever product was on sale at the time I needed a rinseless wash product.

FWIW, I have used ONR, RW&G, QEW, the original DP 4 in 1, and all of them worked quite well. Rinseless and waterless washes are just about all I use anymore. They were really great for winter use and since they seem to work so well, I continued to use them all summer.

Shawn (sullysdetailing): It would be worth trying. Chances are you will like it.

It leaves a better finish; meaning it adds more to the look of the car than ONR in my opinion. Also, it felt like it had a bit better lubricity although I can't comment on absolute cleaning power since I have not had an opportunity to test it on cars in the condition that I have used ONR on.

I am going to have to buy some of this

I think it is a great rinseless system, especially given its price. Waterless wash products are not meant to be the end all in cleaning power, but rather be used for convenience or in a case where you may need light cleaning. It leaves a finished car looking like you already washed and QD'ed it.

I don't use scent as a factor in performance, I would rather have a better product without any scents than one that is scented but doesn't perform as well.

I clearly like this better than ONR as a "Wash and Gloss" since it adds that little something to the look of the paint that I felt ONR was lacking. I have to say I am the same about constantly using rinseless washes, it saves alot of time and is in general more than up to the task of normal cleaning (to a point though ;) ).

Anyway, since I have used ONR for so long I figured I would try something new and was very pleased with DP Wash and Gloss.

Nice review. I just received a bottle of this among other things in the Loser's Giveaway. Haven't tried it yet, but after reading your review, I'm excited to give it a shot. Thanks.

Yea but you used it at a super strong concentration. Thats why it felt like it had better lubricity. You used 2oz to a gallon. The correct dilution ratio is 1oz per 2 gallons.

I agree with Charles. I've used the old DP4n1, QEW, ONR and they all work the same. None seems to out shine the other. Whatevers on sale at the time is what sways me.

I agree with that, but if it makes any consolation I used ONR at the same dilution rate (if not more, I just started measuring out for dilutions).

Either rate, it is nice to see something other than blue sitting on the shelf. :)

I believe the VIP special just released might be just the ticket for fans of DP.

Is anyone using the Dp Rinseless Wash, ONR, or the new HD wash product with the Nomad Pressure Washer? Does anyone on AG have a Nomad? I'd like to hear your thoughts on this piece of equipment!

I am almost gone of ONR, but I got a gallon of this, so I will be using this product often

I have used both ONR and DP R&G. I find both of them to be very competent products and have replaced the majority of my traditional washing routine. (I only do this if the car is caked in mud/film and ususally with a coin-op to loosen the caked in stuff then finish later with rinseless). I prefer the fragrance of DP, however a passing neighbor loved the smell of ONR. Both had great lubricity, light cleaning power and make excellent QD's and window cleaners. It really comes down to price as to which I buy.

That could almost substitute for my thoughts. :)
Throw in QEW as another rinseless wash that works fine, take out the QD and window cleaner references and I echo your thoughts.
I was not at all impressed with either product as a QD and I don't think I would ever replace my Meguiar's Detailer Line Window Cleaner with them, but I havem't tried them on windows other than as part of the washing process.
They seem to be very good rinseless washes and that's all I'm using them for.

FWIW, I felt the original DP 4 in 1 did a great job when used as directed.

Do you at least spray the car down before applying this? Also does it leave any kind of protective coating like a wash n wax? I think I might try this.

Normally, I do not.
Keep in mind that I'm using the rinseless products in my garage and using less water is how I am able to do that.
If the vehicle has caked mud or salt residue, I do take it to the DIY spray wash and knock off as much crud as I can there and finish with a rinseless or waterless wash at home in the garage.

There has been some comment about some rinseless washes leaving something behind, but I wouldn't depend on them offering any real protection.

You should try it. :)
I think you will probably like it.
Most people that try it do like it, but like many things, some have not been happy with the concept.
