Had a chance to dress our cars the other weekend with old formula DP Tire Gel. I used a terry-cloth covered applicator because the Bridgestones on my car have a gazillion little hash lines and chevrons. A straight foam applicator simply didn't get into all the little crevices but the terry cloth covered pad did the trick. Once I got the method down and got the pad primed, it applied smoothly and evenly using only a nickle-sized drop per tire, and I was probably over applying at that rate. I waited 30 min per instructions and did a second coat.
DP Tire Gel is not highly glossy or a deep wet look. Rather it gives the "brand new, just off the rack" look to the tires that I prefer.
It's been a week and one good rain, and the look is still like I just applied it; no sling. No pics right now as there have been plenty of posts showing the as-applied look. It's supposed to rain a few days next week, so I'll post some photos later to give an idea of durability.
DP gives the look I prefer and if holds up as well as I expect and others have indicated, I've found my tire dressing. And I got it on BOGO. Thanks AG. :dblthumb2:
