Dr Beasley’s Bead Hero

Applied today. Application was nice. Not grabby but not silky smooth like PA. No camplaints though would get a whole car done pretty fast. No streaks that I could see (white car). Will report back on performance and slickness… going to let cure for an hour.

I was about to say that was a dud but the beads are marketed to sheet off....

I can deal with not amazing beading if the clearing of those beads is fast and the self cleaning is excellent. Still, I am feeling a bit bamboozled after the videos showing how amazing BH is supposed to be. I'm eagerly awaiting Guz's impressions and his thoughts on the other ceramic sealant he's also testing.

I am going to prep a vertical panel to check out. Kamikaze is doing better but both seem to be slow moving. It may be the angle of the hood in middle.

You almost have to do a full vehicle or maybe split a vehicle down the middle to do a good test. This lets you see performance on both horizontal and vertical surfaces. Most SUVs and trucks have pretty flat hoods and roofs which make it hard to judge sheeting.

Based on the pictures I'd put it a step behind Elixr, Gyeon Ceramic Detailer, or maybe even ECH2O.

Applied Bead Hero this morning and just got back in from a nice rain. Here are a couple of shots of how it’s beading on my ride.

Feynlab Pure Wash put a nice dent into Bead Hero and turned it into sheet hero.

I never even bothered trying Bead Hero and returned my order after seeing real world performance was nothing like it was made out to be.

That'll be two ceramic based sealants in a row, Bead Hero and Diamond ProTech Quick Body, that performed far below expectations. Fingers crossed that SiRamik's Lustrous Plus Graphene Spray Sealant is more of what I'm looking for. The shipping from England was quite expensive but 20+ pages of people raving about its performance should be a good indicator that it'll be worth the cost.

Where are you located and what are you looking for? I ASSume you're in North America? If so we have so many on the shelf (Griots and TW Ceramic line) or many others tou can order online.

I'm willing to bet Sonax BSD lasts longer than most of the new Era junk being peddled. Easy 3 to 6 months. Easily reapplied during wash.

Actually i forgot I ran a test with PNS and CMX and even they held up to rain, snow and salt for 5 months...

Agree with you on Diamond Quick Body. Lack luster hydrophobic behavior. Does look nice but can be a bit streaky. Mine separated and clumped up and ended in the trash. They need to update this formula. The wheel coating also needs an update.

What did shipping cost you? Also this is more a spray coating. Think Gyeon CanCoat and not Griots 3-1 when comparable expectations

Can Coat? One of the few products that seems to overdeliver.

I've used Cancoat a couple of times and liked it a lot. My bottle is about 3 years old now, so who knows if it's actually useable anymore. It's still liquid but seems a bit thicker than when new. Most likely it'll be very grabby to wipe off now.

Maybe in this thread or somewhere else I said that I like trying different toppers for my coatings. Currently 22PLE HPC applied this past July and before that Cancoat for two years. I like trying new things and sometimes the product doesn't meet my expectations. Kamikaze Overcoat v3.1 has been my go to, but I've also tried Polish Angel High Gloss, Sonax BSD, Diamond ProTech Quick Body, Gtechniq c2v3, and others. I've never wanted to try Griot's 3-in-1 because while it's durable it's hydrophobics are not up to par for me. Sonax's new ceramic detailer looks to be excellent and I'll admit to overlooking it.

The shipping for the SiRamik was around $56 with Royal Mail International, but I also bought their shampoo and tire dressing (a while you're there kind of thing). Figured while I'm spending this much I might as well try a few other things. I kind of wish I had also bought their drying aid but I already have and like NV Nova Boost. I contact them through Facebook and they were more than happy to set up an international order. I knew shipping was going to be expensive so it wasn't outside of my expectations.

The 22PLE coating I applied in July took a major hit from the Upstate NY winter. Carpro's 3PH wash helped but didn't do anywhere near enough. There is still greatly reduced beading overall, lower panels are only sheeting, yet the self cleaning is still pretty good. Now I'm hoping Labocosmetica's will do better when I try it this weekend. Even if it does help, a more long term spray coating I apply two or three times a year is what I'd prefer to go back to for now like I did with Cancoat for a couple of years. Cancoat is very nice but its lack of slickness is a big downside for me. I also don't like that I get way more product than I could ever use leading to the majority of it going to waste. It'd be great if Gyeon sold a 100ml version. With the SiRamik spray coating I'll get as good hydrophobic performance, self cleaning, and durability while getting a product that's extremely slick and won't go to waste. Yes, it cost me a lot more but I've spent more money on products I don't have a need for anymore such as the multiple Polish Angel products on my shelf. PA High Gloss and Supersport two name two, while nice products to use, lack any kind of durability for how much they cost.

I almost purchased Kamikaze OC and PA Cosmic but I held off (for now). Agree on the Griot's.

Wondering if this is any repersentation of there last great product 582.
