dr color chip and compounding

I plan on doing some compounding and polishing on my black audi when the weather breaks . I have everything together for the correction part. I was examining the paint a little yesterday noticed I have gotten some road rash in front hood,bumper etc . my ? is would I do paint correction then use dr color chip or vice versa

Agreed. Also wait a few days to let the paint touch up dry before sealing or waxing the car. Or wax the areas that were not touched up and then come back a week later to wax or seal the touch up areas.

I'm not challenging you, but I am curious as to why? I've never done paint chip repair, but I always figured that doing paint correction would help "blend" the paint.

I have a friend who wants me to help him with DCC, than do a little work on the paint. i looked it up and saw that you should wait 30 days for the paint to fully cure before putting a buffer onto the paint. And as you said, I would assume to fill in first inscase it is uneven or there are paint outside of the chip.

curious what everyone else has done or thinks.
