dr color chip pen..

and the brushes are good? ex. not losing any bristles with application?
I dont remember to be honest. I threw mine away after the first use. I didnt have any paint thinner on hand, so I put them in water in hopes they would stay soft. Didnt work and they were pretty stiff.

No, if you don't like it, you just wipe it right out with some laquer thinner and do it again.

Thats good to know, thanks.

alright so now with the dr color chip kit, anyone have some of their own before and afters, how about tips on applying it? are you happy with the results?

No pics, I watched the videos on their site and YouTube and did it that way. When I got done I put the brushes in a cup filled with thinner. Their
still good.

Dr ColorChip paint chip repair kit

REVIEW - Dr.Colorchip paint chip repair system - Garry Dean - Tampa, FL - Premium Custom Detailing

I dont have any before or afters.

But here is what I have noticed using my kit. The only chips that it will make disappear are very small pinprick sized chips. Any thing bigger will only add color to the chip helping it blend in. But the chip will still be there and noticeable up close, it just blends in better now. The pictures on the website are decieving.

Like I said, I recommend using a tooth pick for the smallest chips, a brush is much to big and you will use way more paint than necessary. The brushes are fine for the larger ones.

If you have anymore questions you can feel free to PM me, or I can post here.

my laptop is still down doing too much on this old heap of junk makes it freak out and it gets annoying viewing on my iphone for extended periods, I already saw the gary bean guy, wasn't a good video imo

what about adding multiple coats to try and "fill in" the bigger chips? I couldn't find a good answer on that while searching earlier

You can try, the most I have filled in any chip so far was twice, and saw no difference.

Would you buy the kit again say for another vehicle

Definitely. I like the fact that I dont have to worry about sanding off blobs or, like setec said, using laquer thinner to remove mistakes with traditional touchup paint.

As long as you rub out the excess paint within the 2 hours window, it will come out perfect.
