Dream Detail - mk6 GTI

Beautiful car, not feeling with the rims!! Original rims always impressed me. Still, looking forward to this one.

Here are the after pictures. 22ple still has another 5 days for the full gloss to set in. Also, the sun 'stars' are not added or created by any special filters. It's just the high aperture from the camera.

:)

That bling is ridonkulous!!! Nice job! :props:

What did you use on the tires? They look good.

Great work! I was wondering though, how did you remove the swirls on the door pillars(small orange pad w/compound)?

I'm really looking forward to seeing the NSX!
Keep up the good work!

Your work is sic. The color of that VW is just striking. Totally off the chart detail. Your photography is no slouch either!!! All of it is very much appreciated.

For the pillars I used the Rupes LHR75 with a 3" tangerine LC Low Profile Hydrotech pad (AG doesn't have these, almost no one does) & Rupes Quarz polish, then finished with a white Rupes pad and Diamond polish. :xyxthumbs:

Thank-you for the detailed response!

How do you get the exhaust tips so clean, I cannot for the life of me remove the buildup on those. I have to be missing a step/product before trying a polish.

I cleaned them initially within Sonax wheel cleaner. Then polished the inside with some Optimum metal polsih on a Flitz mini buff ball... or w.e it's called. These weren't so bad, some may need something more aggressive.

Nice work! What did you use on the tires to dress them? They look SUPER WET without looking GREASY!

Gtechniq T1, one of my favorites. Dirt/water repellent, great durability. Easy to control gloss.
