Hi everyone,

I am wondering what is best suited for dressing the rubber mats to make them a nice black, but not slippery.
Mine have bee hive "ribs", and I suppose it should be a sprayable liquid for this reason.

What is your suggestion?

If the same can be used for dressing other plastic and rubber trims, the better.

Thanks!

Stoners Trim Shine.
Once dry, it is dry.
Does not leave any slickness or greasy residue.

Ordered my father in law some weathertechs for his 2016 F150. The rear mat is more like an area rug, covers the entire rear carpeted area.

I might have to try Stoner's trim shine. Have used their products for I think nearly 20 years. Love, Invisible Glass, Tire dressing, Tarminator, and Xenit Citrus. All great products.

The only "dressing" I'll ever use
on rubber mats is WeatherTech's
FloorMat Protector.

I have only cleaned my Weather Tech's with Alien Kleen but should probably stop by and pick up some of their cleaner to try it out, they are only about 30 minutes away from me afterall, LOL!

Which one from 303 Aerospace? I am not familiar with their product line and some seem similar to untrained eye

Thanks

303 Aerospace also has a fantastic citrus cleaner you will wanna use to clean your mats first, then apply their protectant but I would use it (protectant) very sparingly, your feet are going on them afterall.

Can't say it's better or worse than others, but Duragloss 253 works fine on my rubber mats. Keeps them dark and new looking and not greasy or slippery. Depending on how heavily you apply you may need to remove some excess.

I tried a few tire dressings on my weather tech's and they worked ok.

By mistake I used a sponge with Black Wow on it and really liked the dark rich look.

Put it on whole mat, really wiping it in.

Ended up looking super neat but also super slippery.

Turns out I'm ok with super slippery as cleans up super easy.

In second season of winter and still look better than new.

This is what I use on the Monster mats that came in my VW. Same thoughts. I apply a couple times a year and they look great.

^^ this. I use it on my weathertech matts and it's fantastic. Solid matt brand new look with zero slip even with my dress shoes.

Does Solution Finish work well for rubber matts?
