Dressing for rubber mats?

Best kept secret for those, especially when they're older......

Sonus Trim & Motor Kote.

Yes, you read that right. Wet the mat good with this product and let dry. You may just have to wipe a few pools that collect once dry. It dries to a slight sheen, and I mean slight, and does not make them slippery. Its also good for the Monster mats as well.

And best of all.....its a great priced product.

On a side note....

Overall, I feel this product doesn't get the attention it really deserves. I have a customer with a Subaru Outback that I've been maintaining the last year. Well when she first called me, the trim was already fading bad. Outbacks have all that trim on the bottom and it juts kills the look when fading. So i tried to sell her on restoration but she just doesn't bite. As long as there is a clean interior and protection on the paint, she is happy. But....I wanted to make the trim look amazing. So I talked to the good man Corey at CarPro US about this product and ordered a bottle before the detail date. She made a comment the first time i detailed it. Second time, she paint more attention to it. After the second time I detailed it (I see her every 3 months like clockwork), she called me and asked me what I do to the trim. She said it looks amazing for a few months and the last month it looks like before I started maintaining it. In the spring (our next scheduled date as I just saw her), I was able to sell her on an AIO polish and trim restoration due to this product alone.

Bob, what is a good substitute for their FloorMat Protector?

Has anyone tried WETS on them?

Dressing mats is usually not recommened. Safety issue. But i would use....

Duragloss Tire & Rubber Mat Dressing (TMD) #253

Or...

The above I have used on my weathertech floor liners. Great product. But I see AG dropped it.
I use 253 on my mats. Weathertechs and others. It does make weathertechs slicker than mats that are more "rubbery" in nature. But I personally really like the finish. And it's so easy to use. Great product.

Just stumbled on using Stone Trim Shine on rubber mats.

I spray it on the mats, using a MF towel and wipe it well.
Come back with another MF towel and they look new and completely dry, not slippery
Love it

Watered down CG Silk shine works well. I have also used CG air fresheners undiluted to clean the rubber mats and it leaves behind a very subtle matte sheen along with a nice smell.

I would have bet money that 303 WOULD make mats slick.

Only if you don't wipe off the excess product. I've been using it for over 2 years now. Spray it on, spread it out, let it dwell for a few minutes, and then buff off the excess. Once dry the mats aren't slippery at all.

Ok but is it a cleaner and protector in 1 or 2 items?
QUOTE=pdqgp;1452910]^^ this. I use it on my weathertech matts and it's fantastic. Solid matt brand new look with zero slip even with my dress shoes.[/QUOTE]

Thanks, just tried this. Makes my graying rubber mats look great. Definitely have to knock it down after application with a MF as you suggest or very slippery.
