I use Meguiars NXT Gen 2.0 wax and there are little dried up wax particles inside the bottle cap and the dispenser was also slightly plugged. I cleaned it out because I'm not sure if this could cause swirls and scratches if it's on my pad but I'm afraid there might be some particles that fell in the bottle. Should I get more wax or am I just worrying for nothing?

Well, it's good thinking, but I don't personally think those particles will be hard enough to cause any marring.

Yeah good point, thanks. Havent really thought about it till now lol.

I agree. Clean it up the best you can and run with it. Obviously, I'd pull out anything visible/obvious. But I bet little dried up and dusty remains will re-hydrate and/or disappear.

You're so wrong about that.

just messing around with you.

Well, tribology is complicated and I've seen some pretty weird stuff, but in this context and my read of the member and his situation, I think he'll be ok. If the situation was different, like a really expensive car, etc., it might be worth it to throw a $20 bottle of wax away, but my presumption this is a daily driver.

So in the end I'm saying I'd use it on MY car, but I'm not saying that it's outside the realm of possibility that in some situation it might cause an undesirable effect.

Just kidding with you,you didn't need to post all that.

I rubbed a little bit in between my fingers and it disintegrated into nothing. Probably fine.

•Unlike some Waxes/LSPs...
-NXT 2.0 does not require heat
activation---via the heat transference,
from the warmth of ones bare hands,
acting as a catalyst upon the Wax.

•In/For this particular case of yours:
-That's Too Bad!!
-'cause I betcha those little dried up
wax particles would be turned into:
application-ready, in no time at all!

•Instead...now it appears that:
-Allowing the solvents, inside the NXT 2.0
bottle, to do their "liquefying (re)action"
seems the most likely solution.

If you don't use it often, take some saran wrap and double it up and put on the bottle top first then screw the top down on it. That'll prevent the hard stuff from dropping into the bottle between uses. Whenever I fly some where I always do this with my liquids.
